AI Packages

So I have a simple question regarding AI Packages.

I made a merchant on a stall in whiterun and I told him to go to sleep at the bannered mare. And everything works fine, but when it's time for him to leave the Inn and return to hes stall he doesn't. He stays inside the Inn. What am I missing? How do I make the cycle repeat itself? I only have two simple packages on him.

Make sure you have the schedule set for both AI packages, hour of the day it starts and how many hours it lasts. Make sure you have set them so one starts when the other ends. For the merchant package did you set the location to a marker where he is supposed to work?

Yes. I have two packages. Sleep and Work.

Work- I told him to start working at 8:00am and stop at 20:00 at the shop which I used as refrence a chair that belongs to the stall.

Sleep-I told him to go to the Bannered Mare at 20:00 to just hang around there/sit down/drink/eat etc, and I told him to go back to the stall at 8:00am.

I started a new game to test him out, and he's there. Sitting on the chair selling stuff, then when it's 20:00 he goes to the inn, but then when it's morning he never leaves the inn and starts selling inside the inn. :\

Perhaps its a conflict in the duration of time you have scheduled? For example, if he is to be sleeping at 20:00 but is scheduled to walk to the bannered mare, perhaps he must first get there in order to follow the next scheduled task. Maybe give him another time variable so he has time to complete the first scheduled task. Like tell him to go to work at 8:05am rather than the same time he is supposed to still be hanging out. And tell him to go to the BM at 20:05

I have never done this, but it's just an idea that may help.  ;)

Did you select the specific reference though or just that type of chair? He could just be seeing the same type of chair in the inn and thinking "oh, hey here's the chair I'm supposed to be selling at" and then just sells his gear inside the inn.

You know....that might be it! When I go to the inn..he's always sitting on a chair which is the exact same one as the one I placed outside on he's stall! :o

I know there markers or something that you can use instead of using an object right?

What specific package template did you use for the Work package?

I created my own packages following a tutorial.

Use a heading marker for the location or make a custom copy of the chair and link to that.

The package template I used was the SandboxWorking template, worked well for me.

YES! It worked! I just needed to place the marker and tell him to go there and it worked! Thank you!!

I think I'm going to come here much more often for support when I need. I used to try and ask things about mods on the Nexus, until I saw that nobody tried to help me or even answer me and eventually they banned me....twice. -_-

That was funny... "Oh hey! Here's the chair I am supposed to be selling at. Work commute? What work commute?" LOL

It is hilarious when you think about it. xD
