Nalessa Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Ugh, now the body just completely disappears! I made some saves now of fully blender ready, nifskope with just the parts you have to remove, and a nifskope save with the new bslighting that I took from the original ds_1 like you did -The blend file is the finished one. -The ds_1 is the original max weight file (added it in just incase) -femalebody_0 is the nif version of the final blend file with nothing changed in nifskope -femalebody_TriShape_Clear is with the branch and 2 files deleted -femalebody_with BSLighting has BSLighting added -The ds_0 one is the final file after doing al the nifskope stuff (it's about 100 ish kb smaller then the original ds_1, and I tried doing those last 4 steps of your tutorial, but it ended up with both ds_0 and ds_1 having max weight body like it used to, only with no body slide function Problem has to be somewhere between these steps. I did notice that the 3 NiTrishape branches of the new _0 weight have different text under the Value tab in Block List compared to the original ds_1, and that 2 of the NiTrishape branches also have different numbers at the start ( the original has 1, 8 and 15, the weight_0 one has 1, 10 and 17, not sure if matters)
Zquad1 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Ok I immediately Noticed your Textures for the DS_0 are FUBARed big time. Just FYI: CTRL+C = Copy CTRL+V = Paste to fix this: Open the DS_1.nif & click on the Body in the Render Window to select it & in the "Block List" under the NiTriShape Tree highlight the "BSLightingShaderProperty" & tap "CTRL+C" to copy, then go over to the DS_0.nif & again click on the Body in the render window to select it & then under "Block List" make sure the NiTriShape Tree for the Body is still selected & click on the NiTriShape Tree & tap CTRL+V to paste this should Paste the Body Texture's BSlightingShaderProperty onto the Body of the Nif...Like so---> It should look like this when your done---> Now that you have the textures set right, click on the BSDismemberSkinInstance to select it & then Right Click on the BSDismemberSkinInstance & go to "Block" then "Convert" then "NiS...." & then NiSkinInstance. for some reason once you have converted any armor in Blender the BSDismemberSkininstance will no longer work in Skyrim so you have to change it to a NiSkinInstance in order for the game to recognize it other wise you will get into game you will be able to get the item(s) ID's & what not but the armor will appear to not be there so changing it to the NiSkinInstance you will get your armor to finally appear in Game.
Nalessa Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Do I have to do this to the nif that's completely finished, or the nif that hasn't been changed after going through blender yet? I tried to do this to the completely finished ds_0 nif and still nothing, body still disappeared My nifskope also never shows colors, everything is grey colored for me. Gonna continue later today though, need to get some sleep. Thanks alot for the help so far though, much appreciated!

Yes do that for the completed DS _0.nif But Copy the "BSLightingShaderProperties" from the Original DS_1.nif When Textures aren't showing it usually means nifskope isn't reading the correct texture paths. In Nifskope Go to "Render", "Settings" & under "CUSTOM" if you don't have the (C:\Program Files(86\Steam\Steam Apps\Common\Skyrim\Data) in the Box just click "Folder" at the Bottom & find your Skyrim Directory. Like so---->
Nalessa Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Spent all night making the weight_1 version, and have a similar problem with that one. At least this time the armor shows up in game, but my body is still invisible ... Never mind, figured it out myself! ^^ deleted the bslighting shader again in the ds_1 file, then took the one from the now working ds_0 and copied it into that branch and it works too! I somehow got the low weight one to work properly now though! \o/ Still have to try the matching of file sizes again, as texture warping is still happening when changing weights between min and max (added the new ds_1 incase you might know what I should do to make the body also appear) I can't get the thing to match file sizes to work I copy NiTrishapeData for the ds_0 body, paste it on the ds_1 NiTrishapeData, body shrinks just fine to the min weight. But when I try to do the same for the straps and the metal bits, they disappear, and when I go ingame, the ds_0 body itself is fine, but the textures are a mess and trying to use weight slider causes CTD. ds_1.nif
Zquad1 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Like I mentioned in my tutorial when matching files sizes you have to complete the _0.nif of the armor in Blender first then while you still have The armor_0 still up in Blender delete the bone nodes & the Body But NOT the armor & import the "Femalebody_1.nif into Blender & then Form fit the armor again this time to the _1 body. Then the final step after you are all done with Blender & added the BSlightingShaderProperties to the newly created. Nif(s) just "COPY" the Armor_0 NiTriShapeData & "Paste Over" the Armor_1's NiTriShapeData & do that for every piece of armor & body parts in the _1.nif then Save it BUT when you "Save As" save it as the Armor_0 & it will ask you if you want to overwright the existing nif just click "yes" now the _0.nif & _1.nif should have the same exact files size.
Nalessa Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Ah crap ... guess I did all of the work for nothing then today ... So can I still load the ds_0 that I made into blender, delete skeleton and body, load femalebody_1 and continue from there, or do I have to redo the mix weight armor aswell from scratch and do both in one sitting? I don't suppose there is some tool btw that I can use in blender to just select the min weight armor and just increase the size all of the parts at once to sort of fit the max weight body and edit where needed to make it fit perfectly? I just always take every single piece on its own and try to place it on the body and form fit it that way.
Zquad1 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 But when I try to do the same for the straps and the metal bits, they disappear, and when I go ingame, the ds_0 body itself is fine, but the textures are a mess and trying to use weight slider causes CTD. that is because you might of missed doing a bone weight copy to one of the Meshes go back into Blender & double check the "vertex Groups " for each mesh & if the vertex groups are empty then you MUST complete the bone weighting for that mesh other wise you will get a CTD when changing from 0% body Weight to 100% body weight in the slider.
Nalessa Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 I only get the ctd when I tried matching file sizes, before that I didn't get a ctd. Bone weight copy should all be fine, I right clicked body, then shift+rclick the 2 parts of the armor and used bone weight copy.

I just always take every single piece on its own and try to place it on the body and form fit it that way. it's ok buddy don't get to stressed out about it it took me days till I finally got my first piece into game. I have had to re-do the same piece over & over & over till I finally had that "AWE HAW" moment. LOL. well that depends... did you save a .Blend file? if not then you will most likely have to re-do it again but hey give it a try & see if it works for ya. Yeah I do that too but some times you have to multitask meaning work on 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 meshes at the same time otherwise if ya didn't it comes out looking pretty shitty..LOL!!
Nalessa Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Yeah, I still have the blend file for the _0 weight that's completely done, guess I'll start from that one this time, seems to be less work as less of the parts are clipping using the _0 blend file, guess that's something
Zquad1 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 sometimes even though it says it's the same file size doesn't mean that the nif.s match. also if your not seeing the body textures check your Body texture path meaning if you are using a body replacer then change the path from Astrids pathetic burnt body to your replacer like so---> if your getting black textures in game or odd looking textureing in game do this (also mentioned in my tutorial)---->
Nalessa Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Yushhhh, finally it works, body slider and everything! thanks for all the help ^^
Nalessa Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 Hmnn got a weird thing happening on this new thing I'm converting. The weight_1 is fine, but when I use the weightslider to start moving towards weight_0 these weird lines start appearing, kinda looks like the lines you see in nifskope. I think this is the skeleton or something? Do I have to change a file in nifskope, or do I have to do something in blender to fix this? The body itself and the armor changes just fine though, it's just these sticks start sticking out of the body
