You can only use mods on a PC, and a gaming PC at that.

Not a 360, not a PS3... and for a price of a new PS4 you could have a gaming PC built so that you can also buy and download a Steam copy of Skyrim, find S.T.E.P., and learn how to mod.

I hope you learn.

playing on the console and wanting to mod games... lemme put it simple.

YOURE FUCKED!

you dont even need to look for more mods, no matter where, and what kind of mods. consoles suck, computers rule. write it down somewhere and say it silently 12 times every day before you fall asleep at night.

On the topic of modding Skyrim for consoles:

Although I do feel a bit bad.

Didn't Bethesda said something about modding support for Skyrim in consoles at one time?

You can add things to a Skryim game save on a 360 and you can fix bad saves (to some extent). But that's all you can do. You can't add anything to the game that isn't normally in it to begin with.

If you take a PC game save, change the extension from ".ess" to ".exs" you can load it up on a 360. :o And vice-versa of course. I've done it for a neighbor friend of mine and have played around with my own game saves. It's funny how the coding seems to be identical between the PC and 360 versions.

There are apperantly some "hacked" mods for the 360. But unless you have a fair knowledge of basic coding & hacking, I would highly advice you to stay away from it, you are more likely to break your 360.

And there's still the fact that modding your console is not what you'd call "allowed".

Yup. I've never modified a 360 (have fixed a couple, though ). What I've done for my neighbor is add a few things with console commands (like copies of NPCs, more gold, etc.), save the game, change the extension, then move the save back to his XBox.

Basically, if you remove all your .esp files and load up your game on the PC you'll see what those saves will look like on the X360 when you start it up. For example, I had a super hottie character who was a vampire. I loaded that save up on the 360 and there was this hideous, bald, ugly vampire standing on a beach in ugly Skyrim underwear!

I've seen hacked/modded game saves on the internet (YouTube vids). If somebody wants them they can just look for them and figure out how to get them onto their XBox. Not sure how they add so much stuff to an XBox game without .esp or .esm files, though. That's outside my skillset and knowledge.

Belive it's mostly hex editing, but not sure.
