Cynical Misanthrope Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 This issue just appered from nowhere. I'm not really sure it's Skyrim related, but can't say I have really experienced it with something else. So therefore I think it's Skyrim. Also, it has worked like charm for the last year or so. Anyway, everytime I summon the Vanilla Bound Bow, my game freezes for like an half a sec. It's only with the bow when it happens. It all happen when I decided to defrag my hdd, where I store my games. I find it hard to believe a simple defrag can cause this behavior?
gvman3670 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I've had it kind of hang up before, too. Never knew what caused it, though.

gvman3670 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I believe it only stopped after starting a new game.
Cynical Misanthrope Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 I believe it only stopped after starting a new game. Gonna have to try that then. And to be honest, the save file containing my main character has a few years behind it
gvman3670 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 If it's that old there's bound to be some discrepencies in the save file. I'd make sure to totally delete the Skryim folder in documents/my games/Skyrim. Just delete the entire thing and a new one will be made, with .ini's in it, when you next run the Skyrim launcher.
