arr0w Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 okay this is a problem that ive never had before. any time i try to loot an iron armor from a corpse, i ctd. i have several papyrus logs but they offer no insight, the last line in every one of them is regarding SOS. i have no clue where to look to fix this. any ideas? also, i can attach the logs if wanted
Guest Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 CTDs when taking armors off are usually because of nif problems, and since you said the last entry is about SOS. I guess SOS just refers some nif that is corrupted/missing when the CTD happens.
hryh23k9823u Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Not necessary a mesh problem, the first I'd look is if I have an appropiate skeleton installed. If a body mesh requires XPMS skeleton, so to say, the game will crash the exact moment you take your armor off.
arr0w Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 everything is installed properly, and i believe that ive isolated the problem to something SOS related. i deactivate it, re-build my two skyproc patches and my bashed patch, it works fine. re enable SOS assets, build patches again, and it ctds :/
Jormungandr Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Just a long shot here, but i've been reading alot about looting ctds with deadly mutilation installed. If you havn't installed DM, consider this post obsolete.
