DeadSomething Posted Thursday at 07:14 PM Posted Thursday at 07:14 PM (edited) Hi, Discord decided i'd have to auth via phone (which i never ever had used with discord) to log in again, so i ask for help here instead. walls get rendered above tall items, pawns etc. (see screenshot) https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/030735cd518caa64411215ba9b41be23 it worked fine a few days ago. removing the mods i added since, didn't fix anything. DeadSomething Posted Friday at 02:38 AM Author Posted Friday at 02:38 AM i tried removing all recently added mods, but so far none of them has solved the problem. it's almost as if that is new vanilla behaviour!
DeadSomething Posted Friday at 06:57 PM Author Posted Friday at 06:57 PM (edited) The culprit was "Better Trees" deactivating that mod immediately had everything rendering perfectly fine again. but the problem reaccured now even without better trees active. please can someone help me fix it? DeadSomething Posted Sunday at 07:04 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:04 PM so. updated hugslog in main menu: https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/0f6ed85a8d97ad95b8a90199db3b0c1c and hugslog in devquicktest: https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/a3f2a6549de8de3d1f739f5a8b9ac22d the problem is this kind of fuckery going on in with everything that stands infront of or is mounted onto a wall, being cut off or covered by the wall itself.
Labart Posted Sunday at 07:43 PM Posted Sunday at 07:43 PM You should save your modlist the run the game without any mods. If the problem disappears load your modlist then remove half the mods and try again. If the problem is gone add half of the removed mods back. If the problem is not gone remove half of your mods again. Repeat until you find the culprit by process of elimination. If the problem persists even without mods active you should verify integrity of game files in steam. The problem could also be baked into the save file but that seems unlikely. You can verify this by making a new save and testing if the walls are weird.
DeadSomething Posted Sunday at 07:52 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:52 PM (edited) i ran devquicktest to eleminate the possibility of it being a corrupted savefile. i just ran the steam file validation and all files were validated. nothing had to be downloaded.
