Aki K Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) When trying to scroll down in a menu it will randomly scroll back up a tiny bit. This happens frequently enough that navigating menus is a pain. This only happens in Skyrim (mouse wheel works fine out of the game and in all other contexts). I have installed no new mods and changed no settings since the last time I played. Anyone have any ideas? EDIT: Disregard. It is my mouse. It does happen outside of Skyrim, it is just more noticeable in game because of how the menus work. Edited 20 hours ago by Aki K

When you are in-game you are using the mouse at a level that surpasses what is typically used in the Operating system and applications. You may actually have a mouse that is physically failing. With modern built-in obsolescence, this is a possibilty. I learned this through years of drafting in AutoCad. The mouse behaved normally until I was using CAD programs. That's my guess. You can test with a cheap new mouse. Other things to try are reloading the Manufacturers drivers. If no Manufacturers driver exists, use Device Manager to remove the mouse and refresh the discovery process. I have no idea what inside the game would cause such issues.

Yeah, they make them so you have to replace them! From someone who has been using computers for almost 5 decades, a cheap mouse works just as well as a $100 gaming mouse . . .

Just found a decent mouse that suits all my needs for $14. ^-^ 1
