HuevoPodrido Posted September 27 Posted September 27 View File Comfy Portraits Hello everyone! I’ve been working on Comfy Portraits, a new portrait mod for Stellaris. The first collection is a barbarian-themed set featuring unique portraits for rulers, commanders, scientists, officials, envoys, and pops. The mod includes: A dedicated Comfy Portraits species category Separate male and female portrait pools Role-specific portraits for different leader classes High-quality DDS textures Subtle breathing and distortion animations Custom framing for full-size portraits and leader miniatures The mod was heavily inspired by Stable Portraits. I took inspiration in the image framing and animation loop. Give it a try if you liked this one! This is my first mod, so I’d really appreciate feedback—especially concerning: Portrait scale and positioning Miniature and full-size framing Animation quality and smoothness Any portraits that appear cropped or distorted Missing portraits, graphical issues, or compatibility problems Please let me know what works, what looks wrong, and what you would like to see improved. Screenshots are particularly helpful when reporting visual problems. Thanks for trying Comfy Portraits and have fun! Submitter HuevoPodrido Submitted 09/27/26 Category Stellaris Requirements 1
Iapeo Posted September 27 Posted September 27 The first thing I'll bring up is that some of the portraits have a very bright "shine" on them thats almost blinding. The second thing is that aren't other versions of the ruler portraits for the commander and scientist when making the empire. and it's really hard to see the envoys but that's more stallaris issue then a mod issue

The brightness issue I understand. Regarding the second issue, do you mean you would like to select regular leaders such as commanders, officials and scientists as rulers when creating a new Empire?

Yes, I mean that. there are Only 5 portraits when creating one and I was kind of sad, I couldn't choose a Muscle Babe Commander to lead my Under one Rule Empire. i can live without it but id figure I'd point it out : Edit: I see you've just updated it as nice thank you for listening and sorry it took me so long to respond Edited September 28 by Iapeo

I put the mod file and folder in the mods folder. I can check it in the mod manager , and the other portrait mods I use, some from lovers lab, show up fine. looks like I am not the only one either, Not sure why its not showing .

Could it be that you are running the game in windows? I didn't test it there... Game logs with errors would be very helpful.

Just to confirm you are looking in the correct place, this is how it should look: @Screws I could try, I'm not really sure how do it without spaming the barbarian portrait set on all categories... I'll give it a try. Let's imagine I figure how to do it. In which species category were you hoping they were available? Edited October 5 by HuevoPodrido

So like having a portrait set for Toxoid barbarians which might be like techno barbarians, kinda max-maxxy, but then things like Mammalian Barbarians like viking wolves or something! Honestly though, straying away from the barbarian theme, having more general human portraits for males would be kinda nice, for all sorts of themes. Edited Tuesday at 04:03 PM by Screws

You would like another barbarian set for a different species type. I like the idea very much, but it took me quite a long time to make this one, I don't think I would tackle such a project in the near future, but I'll keep it in mind 👍 I get what you mean, there's a lot of female exclusive sets. Truth to be told, my own set has more variety of women than men, but I wanted to give the option. It also works if you only want to use the girls anyway. Edited Wednesday at 10:54 AM by HuevoPodrido

I sent a response with a script but it seems it got deleted. I would highly recommend asking the AI how to fix the issue, as my hands are kinda tied...
rawawi2291 Posted Friday at 09:13 AM Posted Friday at 09:13 AM I haven't had any problems with this mod, works and loads fine. As for newer species and packs, cyberpunk theme, imperial theme, or druidic/nature inspired theme would be good. 1
