Hello! 🙌 Vernier has been updated to 1.1.1.

 

This is a small fix release on top of 1.1.0, so if you already have 1.1.0 installed, just overwrite the files. Everything from 1.1.0 is still here, and the fixes are listed below.

 

What's new?

 

Fixes in 1.1.1

• The Vernier pie menu was missing on townies spawned during play. WickedWhims only tags Sims with its penis trait on zone load, so newly generated NPCs looked like they had nothing to measure. Vernier now fills that in itself when you click them.
• Clicking a male NPC opens the size screen directly instead of a menu with a single entry. The pie menu item is named "Size settings for this Sim" and the screen shows the Sim's tier.
• The "Back" row on the size screen returns to where you came from: the main menu for your own Sims, the Sim list if you picked from there, and no row at all when you clicked an NPC directly.
   

1. Memories

Female Sims get a new "Memories" menu. Male Sims do not have it.
It lists every partner she remembers, with portraits.
Open a partner and you see exactly what she remembers: length, girth, testicles, rating, and how far he is from her benchmark. Anthony is her benchmark. Issac is four tiers below it, and she knows.
 

2. Two new kinds of moodlets

When a partner beats her benchmark, she gets "A Night Never Forgotten." The first partner always counts as a new record, so every female Sim starts her story with one.
When a partner is clearly below her benchmark, she gets one of three discomfort moodlets depending on how far below he is: "Something Lacking," "Cannot Stop Comparing," or "Expectations Lowered." These replace the usual end-of-sex moodlet. A partner who is only a little below the benchmark gets the normal reaction, and she does not hold it against him.
 

It changes the relationship, too

 

A new record raises Romance. A partner below the benchmark lowers it, more for a bigger gap, and she also picks up WickedWhims' own "Unsatisfying Sex" sentiment toward him. The default amounts are +10 for a new record and -5 per tier of gap. Friendship is untouched by default.

 

All of it is adjustable in the settings menu under "[Global] Memories and Relationships." Set an amount to 0 to turn that part off, or turn memory off entirely in the config file.

 

Memories are stored on the relationship between the two Sims, so they live in your save file and travel with it. There is a "Forget This Sim (Cheat)" button on each partner's page if you want to erase one.

Install

1. Unzip CMU02_Vernier_v1.1.1.zip

2. Put CMU02_Vernier.ts4script and CMU02_Vernier.package into "Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods". One subfolder deep at most

3. Make sure Script Mods are enabled in Game Options → Other.

4. Updating: overwrite the old files or remove the old files. Never keep two versions of the .ts4script in Mods. The game loads both.

 

Requirements

WickedWhims is required. The mod also needs WickedWhims' "Penis Size Manipulation" setting turned on, and it does nothing while that setting is off. You do not have to dig through the WickedWhims settings to find it, though. If it is off, Vernier shows the screen below instead of its menu, and one button turns it on for you.

 

 

One thing to know: the moment this setting is switched on, WickedWhims resets every Sim to its default size. That is WickedWhims' own behavior, not the mod's. Run "Assign Across the World" right after, and everyone gets a proper size again.

 

Bug reports

 

If something does not work, leave a comment with the CMU02_Vernier.log file next to your .ts4script and your lastException file attached. Most "nothing happens" cases are Penis Size Manipulation being off, so please check that first.

 

Where to find them:

 

- CMU02_Vernier.log is in the same folder as CMU02_Vernier.ts4script, for example "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\CMU02_Vernier.log".
  If it is not there, check the Mods folder itself.

 

- lastException.txt is in "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4". Newer game versions may name it lastException_<date>.txt. Send the most recent one.

 

Comin next: 1.2.0

 

Version 1.2.0 is already in early access on Patreon. Girth and testicles get their own tiers, "See" reactions are split per part with new icons for all of them, and female Sims get up to three moodlets at once when they see a naked male Sim. The free edition with the new size tools will follow here after the early-access period.

For some reason, all the text for me is in korean (I play in english btw). So there goes your first feedback/bug report 😛
Also it would be nice to have the option like in WW to pick sims by age, occult, ect.

 Tried in game and works well so far. Used the global function to set all males and it worked. I have noticed that the Vernier menu does`nt always show on NPC`s after the global was set. 

Looking forward to more features. An ask how big interaction would be cool and maybe gated to exclude shy, proper sims etc. Linking it to the likes system would be cool, likes big, likes average etc.

Well this is something I can see expanding a bit further.  Could be a fun way to give sims individual size preferences, kind of like how alchemists' kinky expansion adds oral fetishes and stuff.  Of course I could understand if this is as far as you want to take its functionality, but I could see the scope widening.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll fix the language text issue shortly. As you suggested, I'll also look into adding options for selecting WW's age, occult, and similar settings.

Since the language issue is being looked into, I will just say that this could pair well with Big Dick Problems/Khlas Male Interactions as it provides some more focus on the female side of things which that mod merely touches upon.

Consegue me ajudar? Altero os tamanhos no menu porém continua a mesma coisa ou quase imperceptível no sim, testei em mais de um. Vi a foto que utilizou de exemplo no post do mod porém nem de longe consegui deixar o órgão do sim do mesmo jeito/tamanho

Agreed! Because it relies on actual in game measurements of a sim's joy stick and not perks, it automatically applies positive or negative responses. If the sim inquestion already has a visibly big PP then female sims will respond accordingly in game, right out of the box. That's something that surprised me about this mod, I didn't even have to assign anything, it did it automatically.

 

This also answers my earlier question about Have some Dick Variety Please, yes, it's 100% compatible.

 

Yeah, this mod is a lot better than BDP in my opinion.

Thought that was fine mod, haha.

Cause as far as I remember the "first original BDP" was something about the traits and stuffs?
I thought that was easiest ideas (but hard to make for people with no experiences) to think about at that time?

KMI has some nice features but it is almost entirely focused on male-male interactions. Female interactions or reactions are pretty much an afterthought. That is why I recommend using them together. so one does not lose the extra gameplay for male sims added by KMI.

Glad the Korean menu fix worked, and thank you so much for the French translation that's awesome!

 

I'll add a link to your translation in the mod description so French players can find it.

 

One heads-up: the next versions add quite a few new strings (new moodlets, a memory screen, and per-part reactions), so the translation will need an update when they come out. If it helps, I can post the full string list English as a TSV so you don't have to dig it out of the package. Just let me know.

Obrigado pelo log - o Vernier está funcionando: sem erros, e seus sims receberam comprimento 25 / grossura 18 / testículos 9, que é o máximo. Isso corresponde ao slider do WickedWhims em 100%.

O Vernier só converte cm para os sliders de pênis do WW. A forma visível vem do WW e da peça CAS de pênis que o sim usa. Muitos meshes customizados não têm morphs de slider (ou são muito pequenos), então mesmo em 100% quase nada muda.

Você pode me dizer qual mesh de pênis o seu sim está usando? Vou testar com ele aqui e te aviso o resultado. Enquanto isso, tente com o pênis padrão do WW — se ele mudar de tamanho, o problema é o mesh, não o mod.

Your mod has great potential for adding sexual chemistry into the game that has been lacking. I`m hoping it does`nt become a huge dick fetish mod where all females are pushed towards the biggest dick. Would be good to have each female have a size preference and their memories, preferences and romantic relationships pushed towards their ideal size.

 

All that said, it`s a good mod, watching how it develops with great interest

 Khlas male interactions does that, vernier is a script mod with it`s own custom assets so should`nt conflict but I don`t use Khlas so can`t confirm that.

They work together just fine. It does result in female characters receiving moodlets from both mods at times, not that I see that as a problem.
