anyone cranking out mods with AI?

I just created

  • No fishing in notebook
  • No restriction on breastfeeding (i.e. doesn't have to be the birth mother to breastfeed infant/toddler)

that's just since this morning  :)

I'm not even sure how to use AI to create mods

you tell it what you want to do and it will tell you what it needs to make it happen. its an iterative process that can produce many versions until it works. like for the no fishing in notebook... that was kind of hard bc i had to DL install python 7, extract some tuning files using S4S, and just run a .bat and give the AI the product and it went up to version 7 back and forth but finally got it.

and then there is the simple ones like fixing a mod that the mod author has not fixed for the glossy bug. u just give it the .package and it gives you the fixed mod.

Not going to lie, this idea got me a little excited, because there is a particular mod I've wanted for a while, and I have plenty of coding experience, but none of it is in Python, so every time I read a tutorial, I sort of zone out. After working with Gemini for almost two hours, I can't even get a simple "Hello, World!" command script to work. I think I'm going to shelve this idea again, for a while.

Ew. Why not actually teach yourself how to mod instead of outsourcing it to the planet-destroying, creativity-killing machine?

Because AI cuts out the boring and tedious parts? Or the parts that may require some actual tallent, which requires hours of your personal time and a process of trial and error to generate (MAYBE), and because, sometimes, asking for help on forums when hitting a road block only nets you indefinite silence, several months of silence?...

Who wants to deal with all of that noise? Not me.

I mean, it's fine if you already have the skills, the intelligence, and the patience required to make a mod, but some people just don't have those things readily avaliable, and by the time they have developed those things to any degree, they may have lost interest in their idea.

I mean, if you want results without the satisfaction of learning and creating, don't mind churning out slop that will break easily and leave you withe no clue how to fix it because you have no clue how the generated slop works, and don't particularly care that you're actively dulling your brain by outsourcing critical thinking to AI, then you do you. Just don't be surprised when people judge you for it.
