I had asked Dagoba a number of years ago about the possibility of a FO4VR port of AAF, and he said there were two issues preventing a port: a difference in address libraries, and some proprietary code with closed permissions from the old LLFP. From what I've seen, there's now a CommonLib for Fallout, and LLFP was made completely open perms, so I was wondering if if the possibility existed now for a VR port of AAF, or if there were other technical issues that would still prevent it? I imagine this question was likely asked before, but I couldn't find anything via the forum search.

First, I just want to clarify that I don't think I ever said LLFP was or wasn't proprietary. Not my call to make. I just said that I am not the author and it's not currently made to work with VR.

That is still the case. A VR version of LLFP would be needed.

But, there are a few other issues too:

  1. There is apparently no VR Looksmenu. So, some kind of solution for morphs, overlays, etc. would be needed. And that is not a trivial thing.
  2. Testing would require using a VR headset. I do have one. But, I'm not sure I would want to fuss with it for the amount of time needed to test this in VR.
