the recent update for fallout 4. the mod download increase. I'm using nexus mod manager always has. It shows a limit of 256 mods at the bottom of the mod section, with the increase in mods will it allow me to increase them or do I have to get another mod manager

This upgrade increases the number of ARCHIVES not mods.

You will have to learn how to eslify your existing mods to increase the the number of mods you have installed.

Good candidates are weapon mods, armor and clothing mods.
