texture editing help

yo i am editing some grass files to be a bit smaller.

i am using gimp to edit these files with the dds plugin.

i was wondering why i am having a:

 

 

when i try to export the texture

i need the file be half the size of the original.

with a lowered saturation level.

Found this by typing the error messsage into chromes search bar. GIMP will only save DDS if the file consists of a single layer. Go to Image and select "flatten image," which will turn the file into a single layer. Then try to save.

 

Link to where the info is located. It is for world of tanks but it also uses .dds files so this should be able to help you.
