oh boy Posted August 7 Posted August 7 (edited) hello! i'm having an issue with bodies getting a blurry, glowy and shadowy texture over their body that stops at the hands and feet. i've tried: 1. reisntalling lighting mods 2. reinstalling + updating ENB 3. reinstalled skin textures 4. removed all items through console 5. changed all paints and overlays to default and 0,0,0 in RM 6. tried clearing slot 32 but i could have done it wrong if i quicksave and reload, the issue fixes itself temporarily. every single preset i switch to will have this bugged texture on it until i save and reload or i go into RM a second time, which fixes it temporarily. EDIT: for anyone that might stumble upon this: my issue was with a bugged overlay. i have no idea which exactly it was but using Clear NPC Overlay Spells and clearing all PC overlays, the issue was fixed! clip_1,786,133,018,149.webm Edited August 8 by oh boy
oh boy Posted August 7 Author Posted August 7 if it helps, here is my loadlist. https://loadorderlibrary.com/lists/blurry-body-texture-bugged
Grey Cloud Posted August 7 Posted August 7 (edited) Try disabling all those make up mods and start a new game. If the problem persists change the skin mod. When you say 'bodies' do you mean all humanoid bodies - male and female , PC and NPCs? Body, hands and feet all have their own textures so it could be that the body textures are different to the hands textures and the feet textures. Edited August 7 by Grey Cloud

oh boy Posted August 7 Author Posted August 7 (edited) okay, i think it's an overlay issue. i downloaded Clear NPC Overlay mod and used it to clear all player overlays and the problem is gone! even cleared an issue i didn't realize i was having, which was the hands and feet stuck being glossy/wet looking! the problem is: when loading into a different area, like picking a start with Alternate Start, the overlay issue returns :< Edited August 7 by oh boy
oh boy Posted August 7 Author Posted August 7 (edited) alright, it seems like those presets that were saved while having the overlay issue are cursed to be bugged forever. i cleared all overlays and saved a clean version of the preset and that seems to working fine. Edited August 7 by oh boy
