Need help, Skyrim Mods not working!

I tried to post this once, don't know what happened to it. Anyways so I've got everything installed step by step, NMM is working, the User manager from tools is working with 0 errors, and Boss is good to go. I can use the text/items/spells from my mods but nothing happens at all. I'll try to provide some sort of proof this is a legit copy off of steam, which it is. Another thing is, would it affect the mods if I just started the game? I'm new to all this and really would like some help! I'll get a chance to reply after work!

Never gave advice on this site due to my lack of modding when compared to the great people on this site.I have found my mods in working order the way you say,but,wyre bash has shown me conflicts that will cause the game to ctd or a mod not working.Try wyre bash after that and look for a red check box and that is your problem.It has happened to me in the past where boss showed no conflict but wyre bash catches the conflicts that boss does not recongize.

first, i personally dont give a shit if anyone pirates a game, i really got other things to care about...  :angel:

second, there are some mods that arent supposed to run when you just start a new game, best example is "helgen reborn" ... it allows you to rebuild helgen, its a pretty awesome mod, and there are a couple of quest triggers that can cause crashes when you didnt "survive" helgen yet, so this mod is best activated AFTER the dragon attack and after you fled helgen. if you dont do that you get stuck within minutes, because it basically puts rocks in a path you have to go through, means, youre fucked. if you reach that blocked path, sometimes it just crashes.

third, regular mods, lets say, weapons and armor mods, should never cause any problems, no matter if you even played the game before. especially when theyre standalone mods, means, they dont replace stuff, but only add things. its the way i like to mod, its 100% compatible with any other mod in existence.

fourth: scripts and addult mods... well, its beyond my knowledge, i gotta pass on that. might be they can cause trouble, but im not sure.

fifth: load order. there are some advices that pros on that can give you, i think boss is a tool for that, i dont use boss, and the only thing i know about load order is that skyrim and the official dlc's should always go first, in my case the "unofficial skyrim patches" come after that (they fix tons of bugs bethesda left for modders to not get bored fixing the game ;) ), and then the other stuff i run.

sixth: not all mod are compatible with each other. especially when they alter stuff in game. think about a mod that adds a couple of houses to a village, another one does that as well = crash because the game says "fuck you". can also happen with scripts, and i suggest you tell more about the mods you use, there are some really skilled guys here that see incompatibility within seconds.

seventh: if you ever consider installing mods manually, its not that hard, theres a good tutorial here from a real awesome guy that explains it for noobs, heres a link:  >>>CLICK<<<

eighth: dont be lazy, i know this is a stupid thing to say, but ive done it myself quite a while ago, so its not meant in a bad way ... ALWAYS READ MODS DESCRIPTIONS! ... a mod author knows best what his stuff is compatible / incompatible with, it happens way to often that folks dont read the mods descriptions and look hours for the things that dont work with each other and most of the times find the solution written down just at the place where you can download the mod.

ninth: a couple of mods require skyrim to have the latest patch. i think you should update it before you berserkhammer it with mods, i think its 1.9sth-sth thats the current version now.

tenth: welcome to loverslab :blush:

Thanks for the replies, I'll try that wyre bash when I'm at my comp, and yeah I don't know how much detail I can go into without the files in front of me. I'll post the order when I get home, but I know it's Skyrim> DLC`s> sexlab, and the rest. Boss just said that I have dirty files in the dlc`s, no idea how or why. I'd really like all these to work, and I plan on adding armor and weapon mods after but those are easy. I'm new to all these adult mods, but it seems really entertaining to have them when they work. I'll update with screens of all the programs + order + boss results and stuff. Hope it works soon.

Ok, I'm adding info from the three programs that say all is good to go. Someone please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or why it won't work.

This all seems OK according to the pics. It should be working. But it does show 10 unrecognised plugins, which means BOSS didn't know where to place them. This means you will likely have to experiment to find where in the load order they work best.

Also, are all the mods showing in the MCM? Some of them take some time to initiate. And if you started a fresh game with several of them installed it could take a good, long while for them to all start up.

In your load order is "SexLab (2).esm=0". Why is that there? I've never seen that before.

These shouldn't be here since Lovers is for a whole different game, Oblivion, and AP just sucks and you won't want it anyway :lol:;

AP Skyrim.esm=1

Lovers with PK.esm=1

Lovers with PK.esp=1

LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp=1

LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp=1

LoversMB2.esp=1

Remove all non-SexLab mods then try it again. It should work then.

All of them with "Lovers" in the name are not even Skyrim mods, those are Oblivion sex mods. :D So they've gotta' go. Post haste, chop chop, get 'em gone! :lol:

A couple of those I am not familiar with. So go back and find out if those are Skyrim mods or not. And be sure to get all the required mods for any SexLab mods you'll be using or they just won't work.

Also, as a word to the wise, Random Attack has caused me issues before. The scripting has a large influence over NPCs in a rather large area, which can lead to issues.

I'd suggest getting rid of the non-Skyrim mods. Then make sure you have SKSE and FNIS installed and working. Then add SL Framework. Then only add Match Maker and start your game. Use MM on someone and see if it works. This is also easiest if you install "Alternate Start" (it's on the Nexus), so you don't have to go through that ridiculously long carriage ride intro.

Wait, so I need to restart my game AGAIN? I've restarted like 10 times, I think I'm gonna play now lmao. And alright I'll get rid of those non-skyrim mods and the random attack. I'll see if it works.

You don't necessarily have to restart. It's just best to start off with one simple SL mod and make sure it works. Then add another and test it and so on. If you start a new game with a big pile of untested mods you just never know what you'll end up with. And you do want a nice, stable game, don't you? Build it one step at a time.

I'd still suggest getting the Alternate Start mod. That intro is friggin' ridiculous to have to sit through! :lol:

How are you installing the SL mods? If you're using Nexus Mod Manager I'd suggest not using it for these mods as it tends to not work too well. I'd suggest either manually installing or using Mod Organizer. Go ahead and install FNIS and SkyUI with NMM, but with SKSE and SL mods you're best served adding them to the Skyrim/data folder manually.

Btw so I tried the whole "hey there" and persuade them to want to do something, then both actors strip to underwear, but nothing after, just stand there. What now? I think I'm missing an animation or body mod or something. Oh and there are no sound effects either. I think I'm missing something there.

Strip to underwear? :lol: Man, there shouldn't be any underwear.

Do you have a body replacer? A custom skeleton? Schlongs of Skyrim? Those things are basically must haves as well. I didn't notice those things were missing because I couldn't see the top of your FNIS generator tool where it shows the number of "bones" (which is only 99 for a vanilla body/skeleton and 242 for the XPMS skeleton).

Ok, so I've completely deleted my Skyrim folder because there was just TOO much crap and I couldn't figure it out. Can you please tell me what I need? I'm going to start from scratch once it's all up and running. Basically, I'm here because I'd like adult mods, but I need to learn how to properly do it. When you move a file from a mod to Data, do you remove it from the folder it sits in or you place the whole folder in? Do you overwrite existing files or make a second copy? I really need someone to tell me these things before I try again and totally ruin it :( I REALLY want to get these mods working. I really appreciate all your help!

Also would be greatly appreciated if you could tell me what mods to use to make bodies look a certain way, ie; breast size, shape, nipples, face, etc. It sucks I'm so new to something overly complicated as a startup lmao.

I can point you to a couple tutorials that will make this pretty easy (I think). Ready?

Watch this series of videos. You'll be glad you did. If you want to mod Skyrim spend the little time it takes to watch these. He makes it seems uber easy.

Here's a post here that simply explains manual installs. It's so easy that it's literally nothing more than right click, copy, right click paste (with the appropriate folders open).

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/26102-manual-installation-of-skyrim-mods-a-beginners-guide/

I would strongly suggest getting Mod Organizer (search the Nexus for it) and use that for installing mods from now on. It doesn't actually add anything into your Skyrim directory (uses virtual folders instead) and this means you'll never have to reinstall your game ever again. You'll always maintain a clean install. It's a wonderful mod tool. And it works with LL mods, too, where NMM doesn't.
