About this tool

I originally created SplitZipBR for FModel to solve a personal workflow problem.

When working with large FModel exports, I often use ChatGPT to help analyze, catalog, organize and modify extracted game assets for modding projects.

However, complete FModel exports can easily reach several gigabytes, making them impossible to upload directly due to file size limitations.

Instead of manually creating dozens of ZIP archives every time, I developed this utility to automate the entire process.

SplitZipBR automatically splits exported FModel files into sequential ZIP archives of a user-defined size, making them much easier to upload, share and process.

Although it was originally built for my own workflow with ChatGPT, I hope it can also help other modders who work with large FModel exports.

Why?

Large FModel exports frequently exceed the upload limits of ChatGPT, Discord, cloud storage services and many other platforms.

This tool automates the ZIP creation process, allowing large exports to be split into organized parts that are easier to upload, share and work with.

Output Structure

Each execution creates a new timestamped folder, preserving previous exports and preventing existing files from being overwritten.
