OrdoLustrious Posted Saturday at 10:07 AM Posted Saturday at 10:07 AM So I have a dream of becoming a published writer and I have been working on a story for a while now. I have talked with other avid readers and they say the idea sounds very promising and I have mostly worked out the central structure, themes and plot for the middle and end. I know it will be a five-book series and I can visualise the characters in my mind completely. I know every single aspect of them and their lives but the problem I have is the start. How can I write something that will draw the reader in at a pace that isn't too fast so when it slows down later the reader won't loose interest but not too slow that they feel it will be a slog over no-mans-land to get through? I keep thinking about it but I can't seem to just sit down and write. Does anyone have any tips for such a problem?
