wulfyeet Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Sexlab and mods hanging off of it (DoM, SLSO, OSLA, you get it) 'function properly' up until the second that a scene needs to begin. Actors have normal behaviors outside of sl anims which leads me to believe its not an issue regarding FNIS output. Once an animation starts, regardless of the mod I'm using to trigger them, actors stand still and overlap each other, I lose control as the player and am stuck like this until I close the game; advancing stages accomplishes nothing nor does attempting to stop all animations with SL MCM in hopes of restoring control. Sexlab shows animations as registered in MCM and in-game animation selectors, but the animations never begin after the actors are snapped into position by SL. This is not a problem unique to my player character, NPC's are also unable to play animations after being brought into place for a scene, displaying the same behavior of actors stacking on each other and no animations being played (despite logs/console naming an animation that should be playing). After some very cursory glances at the papyrus log, I am noticing many errors regarding sslThreadController but after reinstalling the mods that I know are meant to take priority for this file, I have seen no improvement. FNIS is looking for a path that doesn't exist and/or does not recognize Ok I'm game, I don't see how it can cause SL to act up like this but let's try to fix it, What would be the best way to switch the path that FNIS looks for if possible, those pathing errors are caused by a version of vanilla sse on my C drive and the modded installation being on the D drive; FNIS itself is installed in and being launched from the D drive. Alright i jumped the gun just a tiny bit and here's where I'm at now, I did uninstall the one on my C drive and launched FNIS with only the D drive installation as an option, this fixed the pathing error (also I must clarify the D drive installation is the one that is relevant to us, the one I need help 'fixing'). I have a new problem concerning legal installations but that's my problem to deal with, I will update once I have this sorted.

One solution might be to install only a few animations in SLAL. If there are too many mods handling events, they might all trigger at once, causing chaos for the actors, who no longer know what to do. Based on the two logs, it appears that the cause is related to DD .

You guys are well within reason to say "you have too many goddamn anims" but if I'm being honest, If that is the cause of the problem right now, it has never been the cause of problems in the past. Even Sexlab has its limits. Here's what you can try: If you enable it in MCM, disable the ZAZ animations, clean and rebuild animation register , reinstall animation in SLAL . The other animations that require it will still work. The requirement applies more to ZAZ's content than to its animations The source of the problem might actually be an execution conflict. Animations play randomly, except under certain conditions (Defeat mod) that force a specific type (Aggressive, Gag, Submit/Dominant). In Sexlab Settings, select “Stop the current animation” and try forcing it to play via the Sexlab MCM menu. If it's that specific animation, you'll still have the same problem and will need to identify the cause. If the problem occurs with all animations, the issue is more serious.

What I’ve essentially been asking you guys to play doctor on is a “testing save” I’ve had running for ~2 years trying to see what SL mods or SLAL packs I would want in a finalised load order, the reason you might see a bunch of mods that are either redundant or conflicting is because i keep testing things in the same save but can’t remove esp’s that the save had used, which reminds me: 3 hours ago, Grey Cloud said: I doubt this has anything to do with SLF. Before the save even loaded in, I force closed the game, reverted the vortex profile, tried to load into an old save, and now we’re here, with SL acting all stubborn on me. Reverting vortex and saves to even older iterations does not improve the situation. can’t for the life of me remember, but I do not recall the FNIS generator paths being messed up before all this, the issue Dora had me fix But yea I shit the bed and am requesting help. Feel like if it isn’t failing to follow instructions in installing, tech support is usually this.

Stuff gets baked into saves which doesn't get removed when you uninstall the mod. Always start a new game when testing. So start a new game with the minimum number of mods - e.g. one SLAL pack and Mass Matchmaker or whatever you use to start an animation - no DD, no Zaz, no anything else. Make sure you install any mods that SLF, slal etc. require. Run FNIS before you start the new game and deal with any errors or warnings from FNIS.

Truth be told the purpose of this installation/save was checking things out with the intention of eventually reinstalling but from scratch; as is, my list sprouts from the corpse of a vortex collection, so I’ve been here wondering if I can salvage what I have going on in that current save or if it’s time to re-do some things. It’s looking like the latter.

If the animation plays, your Sexlab is working properly 2) MCM/SLAL , Activate one package at a time (e.g., NCK30) , Proceed as described in step 1, using forced startup. 3) If they work correctly, proceed with the packages (always one at a time) and continue testing as described in step 1 . 4) If you have conflicting animations (e.g., Lesbian/FUTA), enable only one of the two. Both are obvious sources of inconsistency for the actors. What am I supposed to do? Lesbian? Futa? The uncertainty seems obvious to me. This (long and tedious) process helps pinpoint the source of the problem. I will get on testing SLF in a new save and let you guys know how that pans out, but for now I have logs from attempts at following what @Dorabella suggested. Problem persists with actors sitting still after an animation is supposed to begin, and to answer your question earlier, not only are tags completely messed up (getting 5p anims in a list that should be tagged for 2p, lesbian in a scene that's MF) , but not a single animation for Sexlab behaves normally in the current state of the game. I want to believe that there is some kind of overwrite or load order rule that I am messing up that I can remedy to keep trucking with my game as-is, but if you're both suggesting it's time to perform invasive surgery on my load order, so be it.
