A few days ago, I started playing Marvel Cosmic Invasion for the first time, and I've been enjoying it a lot, even though I'm not a huge beat 'em up fan.

 

I also think the roster is really solid, with a great mix of popular characters and lesser-known ones.

 

That made me want to see if the game could be modded, and I ended up making these sprites for Hela, Dark Phoenix, and Boom Boom.

 

Would anyone be interested in seeing a full mod for this game?

I'd seen some of your mods before, like the TMNT one, but I didn't know you were also working on this game.

 

Sorry for "stealing the idea,". I thought it would be interesting to make a mod for it, especially because of its amazing pixel art.

I've been working on the Boss sprites first, starting with Hela since they have the fewest frames.

 

I'm around 85% done with her sprites so far, just need to finish up some tweaks and touch-ups.

 

Here's a little preview of how she looks in the Nova Corps Files section:

 

 

 

 

Would you guys like me to upload the modified Hela file as soon as I finish it, or should I just wait and upload the whole mod once everything's done?

After quite a while, I've finally finished the first boss! Now I'll be moving on to Dark Phoenix so I can reuse the sprites for Phoenix as a playable character.

 

For now, here's Hela as a beta version so you can already see her in-game.

P. S. It's just a visual mod. The description is only a joke I came up with while pulling an all-nighter lol.

I haven't bought the game yet but have been eyeing it, really appreciate the work! I am far more swayed into getting it now 😅 Can't wait to see Storm and She-Hulk! As for uploading, it's really up to you, I would recommend uploading as you complete them for any glitch troubleshooting and burn-out prevention.
