RWR Radio Station (Player's House + Lagertha's Companion + New Quests)

View File

Hello everyone!
IMPORTANT!

====================================================================================
❥ I've finally updated this mod. The main focus has been on developing storylines and NPCs. Now, there's Lahn, a completely different character (companion) named Lagertha. She's also a fugitive from Nuka World, a former raider from the Operator gang. She now lives in her radio station and sells Nuka World junk.
This mod features three storylines that will develop as you interact with the main character, Lagertha.
A new hostile faction has appeared in the Commonwealth (for now, it will only be present in one quest where you

need to kill several of them).

❥ Merchant Greta will appear briefly in the Commonwealth during the first quest, then return to Nuka World. Merchant Cooper will also be in his old spot near the cart in Cambridge, unchanged. You'll meet everyone as you progress through the first quest. The quest begins with a radio signal, but only in the Commonwealth (which is logical). Next comes the quest to find Lagertha's friend and destroy the Nuka World raiders. You'll learn everything as you progress.
Overall, a great deal of work has been done; anyone who's played this mod before will understand that everything is completely different.

===========================================================================

❥ I present to you my work. I created a radio station, RWR, inspired by my previous radio station, Dark RWR FM+. This mod contains the radio station itself (a building/room), which can be used as a "player home." There's also a workshop, and you can add your own customizations using various Chaos mods and much more.

❥ The radio station itself features a character named Lagertha, a merchant who escaped from Nuka-World.
Also wandering around the radio station is a merchant named Greta (a member of the Operator gang from Nuka-World). This is Cooper's house (the owner of the Cambridge trading post), an NPC you'll meet during a short quest that begins when you leave Sanctuary Hills and head to the Red Rocket, where you meet Dogmeat. From here, the quest begins, leading you along the signs to the RWR radio station itself.

IMPORTANT - If the "Strange Radio Signal from Nuka-World" glitches, I recommend heading to the Red Rocket and listening to the holotape; it's on the workbench. The quest will definitely start.

There's also Greta's house, located in Nuka-World, near the Operator base. Greta herself trades not far from the base.

Anyway, that's how it all turned out! Don't judge me too harshly.

I also built a new house in Diamond City. It's located next to the Diamond City radio station. The house isn't completely finished, but it's a good place for the Player to relax. I placed a Looks Mirror in the bathroom; you can change the player's appearance if you wish.

Thank you for your attention, and I hope someone enjoys my work. Let me know if anything happens or if you encounter any issues (I might have missed something).

This is a βBETA version. The mod's core features are complete, but a few minor details may still be unfinished, like the house in Diamond City. Overall, the mod is playable.

By the way, I've fixed the scripts for Lagertha's companion since the previous version. Now, the Lagertha search and Bleeding abilities work properly without causing lag. I also fixed the script where Lagertha changes into her raider outfit when you visit Nuka World. I also made some minor script tweaks. I added a new costume for Lagertha (it's exclusive to Lagertha). If you accidentally remove her clothes, you can use a holotape to restore her default outfit. You can also randomly change Lagertha's weapon in the holotape under certain conditions. That's all I wanted to say, I think.

I don't know, there were no issues with the quest stage script before; the trigger was supposed to work.
I released this mod to the Nexus a long time ago, and I didn't change anything in the quest scripts, specifically at the end of the quest, up until this stage.
I'm confused...

What the hell... Everything works for me, I don't even understand what's going on.
I have no idea what this is, I'm talking about the clothes. They're there, you saw them in the screenshots, I checked everything myself.

This could be a mod conflict. This costume is actually a standalone item and shouldn't conflict with each other. It fits perfectly on the character. It's possible it's just a bug, as Lagertha only appears at a specific moment when the player first enters the Radio Station. Her appearance is triggered by a quest stage.
A bug may be causing the costume to not load, but I don't understand what's going on!

I wrote a hairstyle mod out of haste, but it's not really required. Lagertha has a standard hairstyle. I was planning on giving her the hairstyle from this mod, but I didn't. The radio station is also optional; it's so you can turn on the speaker in the interior from the terminal. It's basically just a DLC; I didn't add anything else to the requirements.

It's okay, I just don't use Nuka Raid, and maybe some other mods might conflict. Anything is possible. I tried not to change anything vanilla to avoid problems later.

I also had problems with some mod where NPCs' clothes weren't showing up (just like in your screenshot). But I still haven't figured out what the problem was; maybe I installed the mod incorrectly.

The Nexus version is the original version, without additional textures or script fixes.
Version 2.0.2 contains several scenes for an adult audience. The quests don't contain anything sexual or pornographic.
I don't work with AAF or animations, and I don't introduce new models unrelated to vanilla.

oh my just went to nuka world and all raiders are hostile to me(i have Nuka Ride mod installed), done the quest for lagertha killing the messenger tho after that i dont know where should i go. i talk to her but only says nothing

Posted

That's the plan. You'll be able to talk to her again after a while.
I've set up timers so Lagertha will offer you something new every now and then.

I could NOT find the key at the Campus Diner. No idea where it was an why, moved every box and crate, garbage, went over every area I could think of. Well hidden?

Okay, I made a discovery about the door. You can't activate it because the neon sign above is blocking the way. When I disabled it, I was able to get passed it's collisions and enter the premises. For me the neon sign is too big, too low, and actually goes off beyond the building.

Her clothes are showing up, but the outfit is non-standard. I doubt she's supposed to wear TheKite's Health Care Division? Likely my clothing replacer kicking in. Still her clothes are fine for me, which means it could be a missing blodyslide issue.

Attached screenshots.

I don't understand what happened to the neon sign. It's seriously not that big...
As for the clothes, it's unlikely to be a bodyslide. I didn't do anything like that. I don't know why this outfit works for me. I have no idea what it could be.
This is the first time I've ever used a non-vanilla costume.
I wouldn't have released it if it hadn't worked for me.

I'm sure it isn't supposed to be that big. Still that's why people can't activate the door. Collisions prevent it.

What is the outfit? Or are you using The Kite's Health Care Division? If a user doesn't have the textures and bodyslides they do tend to get transparent bodies.

I think I have a conflict with another mod, one of those Modding for Charity releases. The Strange Radio Signal is turned to their station and starts their quest.

I came across the holotapes by mistake. After killing the Messenger I was told to listen again on a new quest, but still getting the Charity signal.

Where was the key to access the diner storeroom? I'd like to confirm it's there and I'm not just an idiot... For debugging purposes of course.

There's a key in the toilet; you need to open the door with a hairpin (easy level). The key is in the sink. If you open this door before reaching the pantry door and before the start of the stage, the key won't be there; it will only appear at the right moment. I don't know why I did this, but what's done is done.
I tested all the quests several times, and everything worked. Before this version, this mod had over 3,000 downloads and I didn't get any major feedback. I then fixed a few bugs and everything seemed to work fine. In the latest BETA version, I essentially didn't change the quest scripts. I did tweak a few things at the beginning of the starting quest. I mainly added functional standalone scripts for bleeding, finding a companion, Lagertha's Nuka World outfit change, Lagertha's random weapon swap via holotape, and other minor things. I changed Lagertha's clothes, and it works for me (someone else doesn't, why? I don't understand, maybe there's a conflict, maybe it's a different game version, but that's not a given). I built a house in Diamond City. It's not finished yet, and I don't have time to work on the mod anymore, so I decided to share it.

I've uploaded a corrected version, including the correction for the giant neon sign.
I admit, it was my mistake; I missed it, and I apologize.

Different crowd would be my guess. I accidentally posted an empty mod on Nexus (SAKR archive ) and no one said a word. Someone from Lovers Lab did.

Pretty sure I had that bathroom unlocked earlier as I was exploring. So it may explain it. But I may not have looked down a sink or toilet.

Other than the key and radio conflict, it's been working well. I saw a mod recently that looks for conflicts in radio stations, so I assume it's pretty common!

There shouldn't be any problems with the key. It only appears when the "Find a way to open the door" quest stage is triggered. Previously, I'd just put it in the sink and it would disappear, but after TPing the stage, the problem went away.
There might be issues with the radio if you have a bunch of different radios installed. I only have my own radios and have had no problems.
