Outfit looks good in outfit studio but has clipping in game

I was trying to modify some UBE outfit for thick body preset. This stocking looks good in outfit studio when I loaded a thick preset but in the game it is clipping hard. Usually clipping is caused by mesh volume but the mesh looks fine in the outfit studio. What could be the issue here?

Make sure that not only the shape fits, but also that the bone weights and morphs are transferred.

I did copy the bone weights but the clipping still exists. How should I transfer the morphs?

In Outfit Studio:

  1. Set (or load) a reference shape if one isn't present yet.
  2. Select the shapes to copy to.
  3. Hit the "De-/Select Sliders" box twice.
  4. Ctrl+C

Good news: I fixed the stocking by moving the body reference to the top of the mesh list. I've done that when I was fixing some 3BA outfit long time ago. Don't know why it would make a difference.

Now the remaining issue is that the sleeves are still clipping even after I moved the body reference and did the De-/Select Sliders procedure you mentioned. What else could I try tho?

The only thing that hasn't been mentioned here yet is that if vertices are too close to eachother or do not line up it's likely they will clip through eachother when moving with animations. Custom outfits generally are made wrong in the sense that no one seems to remove the body from underneath the clothing. Not only does this cause pointless rendering workload but it also makes it possible for things to clip through eachother. The easy DIY fix for this issue is to mask out the clipping area and create a zap slider for it.
