CaiusCosadesBodypillow Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Hi. I'm not new to modding or I wouldn't be attempting this, but I am new to making patches and fiddling with Nifskope. I followed @MadMansGun 's excellent guide on How to Dick with Nifskope , and after some trial and error that may still not be entirely over, I think I've done it. My process was: Open up two separate nifskope windows, one for Hornclonic's Sabercats of Skyrim Sabercat.nif, located under "meshes >actors >sabrecat > character assets" , and one for ABC 's sabrecat_hard.nif, located under "01 ABC CBPC SE > meshes > MoreNastyCritters > sabrecat". Followed the guide's instructions and copied the relevant parts and nodes over to Hornclonic's improved model. Saved the new .nif model in a separate location as a new file. Now I'm wondering... what's next? I have my .nifs ready, but no idea where to put them or what to do with them to ensure these mods work together. I'd ideally like to share my patch with others, but I dont know where to begin with that or what files these new .nifs should be replacing. I assume for this to work, someone would need MNS, ABC, and Hornclonic's Sabercats, plus my patch. But what order should these things go in? How would I package this as a mod someone can install? And what file path should this overwrite? I'd assume ABC's model, since that was what I stole the parts from, so I've already made an identical file path including the new .nifs that I've renamed to match. Is that really it? Or do I need to replace the sabrecat.nif in MNS too? If so, do I do it only for MNS's "MoreNastyCritters" mesh folder, or both the "MoreNastyCritters" and "actors" folder inserting Hornclonic's base mesh over the normal mesh and my mesh over the hard mesh there? I would assume I wouldn't have to because it looks like ABC overwrites those anyways, so this would be a patch for ABC more than anything, with MNS being an inherited dependency. But I'd figure I'd ask. One last thing to note: When making these models, I ran into an issue where textures wouldn't display. A lot of google searching later I properly set things up so textures were being pulled from Hornclornic's and MadMansgun mods. Afterwards though, I started getting a persistent issue with a white film over the penis mesh. Digging around, this seems to be a part of the PenisCollision BSTriShape added by ABC, so I assume that this won't be visible once in game, but I figured I'd ask in case it's supposed to be transparent in nifscope as well and this is a sign I've messed something up along the way. Image below. I'm also attaching my modified .nif files in case I somehow vanish off the face of the earth and someone wants to finish what I started. Thanks for your time! traison Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I think your confusion comes from not knowing what MNC and ABC do: ABC replaces meshes in MNC. MNC provides configs and meshes for CF. CF is the one that attaches dicks to things. So the short answer to your "what now?" question is: create the config file for CF. Use MNC as an example.
