Fertility of older Adult sims?

If I am wrong about this, perhaps someone can point me right, but it seems like the WW pregnancy system has adult female sims just as fertile as young adult female sims, and that this fertility persists right up until the day before they become elders. If that's the case, I really think WW needs some kind of menopause system or something that will trail off their fertility as they get older. I know everyone probably has their own lore in their heads about what the different life stages represent age-wise, but elders are old enough to retire. In real life, they'd stop having kids long before they got to this point. If we imagine a newly aged up elder as, say, about 60 or so, it's strange to think of her caring for a newborn. I'd like to see a system that will make this increasingly unlikely as she progresses through the adult life stage.

Those are base game rules rather than a Wicked Whims condition.

They would need a new menopausal life stage for that kind of functionality (or lack thereof). I have doubts that the newer lifesims will have such a thing either even with their more incremental life stages but they could surprise us all yet.

Something passable could be implemented with just a few additions: First, WW includes all sorts of modifiers to base fertility (for example, based on day of the cycle, or certain wicked traits). We could also have one for life stages. Say, Teen has a 1.0 modifier, Young Adult a .95 modifier, Adult a .75 modifier or something. Whatever. Could even be user-edited. Second, borrow an idea from MCCC, and include a user setting that allows us to simply set a number of days before aging up to elder that a sim is no longer capable of getting pregnant.

In my opinion there are missing some age stages. There has to be a stage after adults and before elders. It's not normal that a woman about 40 still has child wishes. 45 is not old, but too old for getting children. Some parents could be overwhelmed with their children when they get older. 

In the real life not all people over 60 are elders like in Sims. Some are still very fit and don't hold their hands painfully on their back. They do sports, work in the garden, they are not too old for sex and still very close to their partners. The elders in Sims are perhaps more like people over 90 but never like people over 60 or 70.

Adult does seem to span from age 30-65. That is perhaps the life stage that would most benefit from division, even more than the Child stage and Preteens.
