That first one is green, btw, and you cannot tell me otherwise. If you gone around telling me that's black, ima gonna slap you.

Maybe what's underneath is. Or you need a better renderer, cause that is shite. If you have ever seen a colored person's skin in sunlight... that is not it.
That looks like some old 1820's racist depiction which you'd find in the Encyclopedia Brittanica from those days.

 

Black people ( I am sorry for using that word, but I think it is necessary) are truly beautiful, ESPECIALLY in sunlight. Just like any other person of any fucking color. They don't look like they are recovering from three major diseases at once, like in those pics.

This entire post served no purpose outside of showcasing some renderings, which honestly, did not even match the post title.
Most games have a skin color slider nowadays. No need for mods.
I can make my Sims 3 char black as a lump of coal and that game is from 2009. That's vanilla, no mods required. And it will look better than whatever this is.

Fair, but is either of these games on the list of games modded here?
Anywho, I am not judging. But, I mean, games like Cyberpunk 2077 and others with good graphics allow you to make colored characters. I do not really see your issue.

If you pick Crimson Desert, which has a preset protagonist, that is like me trying to ask for Cloud in Final Fantasy 7 to be black and female. Can it be done? Sure. Will it really work out? Not really.

Same goes for Horizon Forbidden West. The game is set around Aloy as the main char.

 

Worst of all: This is not anything you mentioned in your original post. You were simply whining and posting some odd renderings.
If you want something specific, ask for it.

 

You are on a website that mostly deals with games that have flexible main characters (both in gender and looks). Not many here deal with games converting preset main chars into something they are not. That would involve more than just changing the looks of said character. Dialogue needs to be reviewed, too. He needs to be changed to she and all the fun stuff. A lot of work, especially with games that might not even support that in-depth modding.

 

In quintessence: Everything you want and are looking for exists. You are just playing the wrong games.

Ah, that was not what I meant. And sorry for sounding a bit harsh in my comments. I had a rough week.

No need to take it out on you, so I apologize.

 

Aloy can perfectly be black, obviously. It is just that the utility of these kinds of mods rarely justify the effort.

It's a pre-made character, so there is just so much you can really do, before it gets a bit odd.

Modders tend to focus on games that already offer you quite a bit of freedom in regards to character, etc., so that they do not have to reinvent the wheel, if you get what I mean.
