VELTAX Posted May 19 Posted May 19 (edited) Forbidden Anomaly is a mod that reimagines the entities and events of the Anomaly DLC through an erotic lens, fully integrated with RimJobWorld. IMPORTANT: THIS MOD WAS MADE WITH USAGE OF AI Requirements RimWorld Anomaly DLC RimJobWorld Harmmony How does this mod add anomalies? All anomalies added by this mod are based on existing entities from the Anomaly DLC. They mostly reuse the original visuals and textures, while their mechanics are reworked to fit the RJW theme. For example: the Graspbloom is a duplicate of the Harbinger Tree — it uses the same texture, but features entirely different mechanics. Will this bloat the anomaly incident pool? No. By default, the mod disables the vanilla incidents of any anomaly that has a duplicate added by this mod. This behavior can be toggled in the mod settings if you want both vanilla and modded anomalies to spawn. Current state of the mod The mod is currently in an alpha stage and has only been tested with a limited set of other mods. So why publish it already? Because the easiest way to find out which mods need compatibility patches is to see what the community actually plays with. What to expect from this mod This mod aims to give most anomalies a unique erotic interaction with pawns. It won't just rework existing DLC anomalies — it will also introduce entirely new ones (2 are currently planned). What content is already in?: Currently there are 3 added anomalies: Graspbloom: Based on the harbinger tree, the Graspbloom is a tentacle-like tree that extends its reach by spreading fleshy tendrils across the ground. Be careful not to wander too close, or you'll be captured by its grasp. Rapenant: Based on the revenant (yes, the name is very similar), the Rapenant is an entity highly skilled in hypnosis and brainwashing. It targets female pawns to turn them into its broodmothers. Dweller: Based on the metalhorror, the Dweller's concept is still not fully defined and it cannot yet spawn via incident. Current concept: the Dweller infects a host within the colony, slowly transforming them with the goal of merging and propagating. The transformation eventually results in a symbiosis between host and parasite. This mod contains explicit sexual content and is intended for adult audiences only. Specifically: Pictures of the new entities, more specifics about how they work mechanically, and whether they replace the existing entities or simply exist alongside them. 7
Touhoufanatic Posted May 27 Posted May 27 (edited) So, my initial thoughts. - graspbloom, seems kind of easy to ignore. if you set it up to not give a warning, and gave it a sprite that looked more like a tree, it would probably be more of surprise. i haven't had one hold a pawn long enough to see what happens. ( I am aiming to rectify this to provide better feedback.) - Rapenent, i like how it comes out and starts hypnotizing people on repeat, which is terrifying for a small colony. however, it seems to set off an event alert that pauses the game, every tick when preparing and in the act, sometimes upwards of 50 of these which is highly inconvenient. i would also suggest, at some point, giving it an altered reskin, phallus, and taking advantage of the rjw animation framework to give it an actual rape animation. Edit : the rapenent also seems to cause a serious freezing lag spike that removes the UI if it gets killed. it got killed by an NPC, i will inform when i find out if it does the same thing when killed in general for me. VELTAX Posted May 29 Author Posted May 29 Hi, thanks for your feedback, The graspbloom don't do much, it capture a target (chance based on a flat % and target speed/consciouness), it make 1 sex act and relase the target, since this feels kinda empty i"m planning to make a rework to make it more punishing going near it, there is also gonne be less visual help (no more alert), and new way for it to spread. The rapenant is "stable" but not 100% optimized, after the graspbloom rework, its my 2nd objective, to improve and fix it. 1
ghostfalll Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Please add something gas attack related, though prolly separate from Deadlife Dust in case some other Anomaly mod uses it. Just gas attacks in general have horror vibes (for real, wear a gas mask, it's claustrophobic as shit; also, fun fact, aiming down a gun barrel wearing a gas mask is nearly impossible, though I doubt this mod would bother doing range attack stuff for regular gas masks), PLUS the other lewd gas attack mod is kind of lazily implemented (gas that converts on exposure as opposed to inhalation, DUMB!). Probably would also require Biotech DLC integration, since Detoxifier kidney would handle resist (or just custom version from this mod, I guess). Could also be interesting for one anomaly to also have like a poison melee attack that is the same effect as the gas attack, just isn't ranged (XML code has a poison bypass option for these exact situations, RE Venom Talon implant; however, this may require Royalty DLC, can't remember if this has been shunted into vanilla code or not).
