I started work on this mod a few months ago. And picked it up again a few days ago after a short hiatus
Now, Desire is in a Significantly more finished state

Desire, Was born from a quick 30 min Edit of tomb's body mod, But over time i had significant requests to release it,
People begged. and i cant add this to steam to uphold a promise made. so i kept working on it once i came back anyway. And here we are

First off - model looks fantastic from the preview, great work!

 

Just tried installing it and it looks like a bit of a horror show on my end, have tried stripping the mods all the way down to just Zombolust/Zombodesire and this but the end result is the same, strange body proportions and haunting eyes. 😅

 

I am reloading the game after selecting the skin in the mods.

 

Any pointers on how we go about installing this correctly?

when adding a mod locally. especially a body mod.

you have to enable it on the main menu. and restart atleast once.

after that, the model will load into pz normally.



From there just make sure the texture setting in the menu is higher than 512x512

Good shout on the texture setting, had totally forgotten that. Figured out my issue, I simply hadn't extracted the files properly and had some conflicting existing body mods.

To anyone else having trouble extracting correctly, make sure 'Desire' and 'DesireBNB' are directly in the mods directory for Zomboid. They're a few layers in to the directory when you go to extract.

This looks great, but I'm having trouble setting it up. I made sure to put Desire/DesireBNB into the mods directory, and I raised the texture limits, but it's still not appearing in the mod menu.

 

Example of how the file structure looks:

 

 

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\mods\DesireBNB\42\media

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\mods\DesireBNB\common\media\models_X\Skinned

 

I'm guessing the files such as mod.info / preview (inside of 42 Folder) need to be one layer higher. I don't know...

Wrong folder - goes in C:\Users\(YourUsername)\Zomboid\mods

Thank you, that's so weird that steam does that lol. The body itself seems to be working, I just have to deal with the broken hair of that 3d hair mod OP uses and head being weirdly oversized+skin mismatched now heh, but it seems unrelated to this mod.

im not particularly great at skin tones, it is why i almost never do them. but feel free to edit the skins if you wish
