shymasogurl Posted April 19 Posted April 19 So I downloaded this mod/plugin called MisMatchR, and it's telling me there are mismatched textures "Critical Algorithmic mismatch detected" as well as some that are instead labeled as " Visual mismatch detected 100%" I'm not really sure what I did wrong as I really tried to install things according to instructions, for the install/overwrite order and load order, although with so many mods installed I surely made some errors. So I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to do, it says to either realign the ratios, delete or rearrange load order, but I have no idea how to realign ratios or with what tool and as for load order I will try to change it up , but I'm not sure what I can do when it comes to Creation Club Fishing - USSEP mismatch for example , since I can't move the CC content in the load order of MO2 as far as I know Bummer, i was thinking I was gonna be able to start playing, been weeks on end just building (& rebuilding it a few times) this modlist , which is now at 1551 active plugins. Anyways I figured I'd ask here to start while I search for a tutorial or something like that, also I find here is where ppl are the friendliest and most helpful compared to other sites/forums
Just Don't Posted April 19 Posted April 19 (edited) There is a tutorial, 2nd main file in the downloads (sadly all links within point to some AI chatbot site, good job). How to "fix" each error is already described there, if you're not familiar with texture editing the workaround would be to hide/delete the files winning the conflict where there is a mismatch (for example, hiding/deleting the USSEP textures for Fishing, I mean only the textures the program is reporting, not all textures from USSEP). But also know the author himself says in some cases this is extra work and if it already looks okay in game you should leave it alone. There are some false positives for sure or very marginal gains for extremely tedious work (yes, this tool is helping you to spot dozens, maybe hundreds of mismatches, but you need to address each one of them manually). I would only act on it's information if I see an actual visual glitch or issue in game. Edited April 19 by Just Don't
shymasogurl Posted April 19 Author Posted April 19 Awh, thank you, now I feel relieved bc it was indeed tedious, and a bit difficult since I wasn't really certain which had to be dealt with, I did manage to hide the defuse file for a few of them, but I tired of doing that and was just unistalling/installing stuff to try to fix it. And no there hadn't been any visual glitches or anything, but I didn't play all that much, just installing, starting it up and fiddling with the mcm's, I'm still in Helgen! At least it might end up coming in handy in the future, but for this time it was just good for giving me a scare. I'll come back to it when I'm able to understand it better
