Estimable Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I'm having a strange problem with The Sims 3 World Adventures. The game won't load when I go on a trip. The game doesn't freeze, the music keeps playing, and the prompts change regularly. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Maybe the "WooHoo" mod is blocking it or something? Or maybe there's a way to disable tourists in Kinky Mod? Everything works fine, except for the first time in years I wanted to go on a trip, and this happened :( For example, going to college or to the future works normally.
Snoopy911 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Deleting cache files might help, CASPartCache, compositorCache, scriptCache, simCompositorCache, and socialCache. 1

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work. From what I can tell, mods are interfering. I deleted the Package folder and it worked. The problem is, I've heard that it's possible to travel normally with mods, but I can't find a way. By the way, what are these files and what do they do? Can I play normally without them?
Snoopy911 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) The files will be recreated. I usually delete them together with cleaning the save files before starting the game. It can help to avoid some issues and helped other people avoiding the issue you have. I'm also running nraas overwatch witch resolves a lot of stuck situations which reminds me of the traveler which i never used up to now, but maybe it will resolve your issue. https://www.nraas.net/community/Traveler and now thinking about it, i remember another possible solution, i think there was also an issue related to a very full inventory. Maybe cleaning up your inventory might also help, but would try the traveler first. Nraas stuff was always kind of the gold standard for sims3 mods in my opinion and that mod looks like it helps to travel and i would guess it does work well like the rest. From what I can see, in my case, all I had to do was load nRaasTraveler. I don't know how it will work yet. The world just loaded, and I was so happy I had to write about it. Thank you so much for your help! At one point, I was about to give up, thinking it wouldn't work, but it looks like everything will work. Thanks again! 2

They are similar to the Bethesda 'Unofficial Patches' in that they fix or unfuck things that the Publisher's just push out the door to make a profit and never bother going back and fixing them. I highly recommend all players to take a look at the variety of options NRaas gives us to either fix, make playable, or enhance our experience with The Sims 3. 1
