Haha!!! I wish I had your problem with attracting Dragons... I have like 4 or 5 words of power that need souls...  knowing my luck, they will show up all at once!

 

That stuff is even more frustrating with Dragonborn: once you triggered a certain even, Miraak will randomly appear and steal the soul of the dragon you just killed.

Did I mention that it can happen in regular Skyrim too, and that he can do it a few times in a row?

 

 

That little sorry excuse for a champion only managed to get four dragon souls from me prior to his death. That includes one prior to me stomping his ass to the ground atop his perch and the three dragons he consumed in a sad attempt at outlasting me. 

 

I have I think 30 dragon souls available currently. I have not unlocked all of the shouts. My last chat with Master Arngeir came up fruitless. Apparently he isn't listening hard enough for whispers. I set forth on the task of unlocking all of the words. And I make a point to slay every dragon I find in the wild. 

 

My skyrim has seemed buggy at times, with dragons. The other day I approached a dragon atop a tower, as I approached his soul absorbed into me automatically but he was not dead. So I forced his face and he took to flight. Very strange encounter. I did not absorb an additional soul after slaying him in his undead form.

In one of my serious games, I had gotten the storyline about halfway and started the Dawnguard questlines. I was near level 50. There dragon attacks and vampire atttacks all the time. One day, I was walking around in the day time and noticed the only npc's still alive were the essential ones. Everyone else was dead. Skyrim felt so lonely.
