Zugarbaby Posted February 28 Posted February 28 (edited) This is a bloody nightmare I am in. When I finally have sims4 installed on my new MSI, i forgot to switch off the automatic update on EA. So it "Secretly" updated the game 19th February, and surprise, surprise, my game has gotten issues after issues, since it was updated, without my knowledge. I have removed a hair that was reported broken, some curtains and window blonds, updated the food tuning mods, removed those that was broken. , updated the sex animations to the latest updates. Nisa's Pervertions does not show up at all in the game, like Basemental Drugs and Wicked Whims. . Customers and strippers wears paperbags on their heads. I have tried to switch off the voting system from echo expansion. But It does not work! I have no duplicates, or broken mods (objects/Cas?Buy,Build) Broken tuning mods have been updated and removed. The mod better exceptions, says I have no broken mods, duplicates or conflicts. I also have Tray exporter, that in turn claims Wicked whims and Basemental drugs conflicts. But, that is most likely false alarm.Tray exporter also have reported I have no conflict or duplicates, other than the "Conflicts" with Wicked Whims and basemental drugs, which i suspect is false alarm.. Now when I went to test the signs i am working on, I notised that there was BLUR when the child was Peeing! This I have not had problems with before either... I am thinking to delete the whole save folder and start over completely. Start a clear empty save game, and see if that fixes the issue! Edited February 28 by Zugarbaby
Oops19 Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Figure out which mods break and remove them. Most often these are script mods by some well-known creators who seem to make sure their mod breaks with every game update. Deleting these mods and no longer installing mods from such authors allows to update the game without or with only minor issues while playing. I had only minor issues the last 30+ months.
SAFMeiko Posted March 5 Posted March 5 No, seriously, this guy just whines and complains but doesn't provide any evidence that he actually deleted the important files like the current file structure, LE, WW.log, etc.

I noticed that the Basemental Drugs was outdated! I removed the outdated version and updated it to the new one. I have been working on collections this past few days. I also removed the whole save folder and started a new clean game. So hopefully It will work now! Will have to check if the mod Nisa's Pervertions works now, after updating Basemental and started a clean new game.

I am not very cunning in cleaning and removing sims4 files. I know how to remove and update the mods when they need update! I know how to seek for duplicets, conflics etc. But I have less knowledge in what logs etc one are allowed to remove or can remove. I am not as CUNNING in some things like some of you are! Also I am that kind of woman that wants to try to figure out things myself first before sharing any logs etc! And yes I start to complain when my game gets full of issues after pretty much every dang Sims4 Update!Â

Regardless, considering that you had mods that you hadn't updated, I think you should submit all of your WW.log, LE, etc. one by one. The deletion you just made had a translation error, but that means it's better to delete or move the files so you can check them 50/50. I also had an error just now, but I realized that I hadn't updated the mods yet. In other words, when errors occur, they usually happen when the updates you have aren't finished.
Oops19 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 It might help to structure the mods. I put all script mods in folders starting with '_' so they are easy to locate, also those which require XML-injector. In case everything still works after an update with 'Script mods' disabled one can be sure that issues are caused by one of the items in the '_' folders and these may be easy to update or to test with the 50/50 method. @SAFMeiko You share so much nice CC while not every "guy" is talented in computer skills and like you help others to have a nice gaming experience with cc - thank you for that 💗 - others need help with mods. Reading logs can be quite confusing and if things break too often or randomly it can be really frustrating, not only for guys. I'm happy not using such mods.

I'm not good at mods myself, and I couldn't get a job in an office because I can't read, so I've had a lot of experience with errors when using mods. However, over the past five years I've realized that most of the time it's my own oversight that's to blame. Also, I think WW is provided as a manual for people who download mods despite not being able to use them well...it explains the need to read the manual thoroughly if an error occurs and review each step to see if we've made any mistakes. Of course, it has nothing to do with being a "guy (a typical male)".🤣 (I'm a woman too)

Yeah, I had not given notice to the message about that Basemental Drugs needed to get updated. It was out of date. I would probably not had noticed it if it was not for the orange color, instead of the Green! Hopefully It will work ok now! If for some reason it would not! Then I will share the logs. But I will test it first! I have been working on my burger and pizza joints collection this past few days, so I have not playd much. Once they are done, I will test them so they work correctly before i make them available on my patreon...

I used to have a very unorganaised Mod Map! But the game started to load to slow. Then I read that if it was organised it was running better so I organiced my whole Mod folder. The Only tuning mods I have is WW, Nisa's Pervertions, Basemental and Grannys Cookbook. Not sure if the sex animations are classed as tuning mods. But I make sure they too are updated. I have been busy working on my collectiones so I have not playd the sims 4 this past 4 days. But did recently update Basemental. When the orange color cought my eye and it said basemental was outdated. So that mod is updated now! So hopefully it works now. I will have to test once I am done with my collections... I wonder of that folder is suppose to be there or in the Sims 4 main folder?!   Edited March 6 by Zugarbaby
Zugarbaby Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 I can not edit the word map to folder for some reason..
Oops19 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Some 'tuning mods' are override mods which replace TS4 default tunings. And as TS4 tunings are updated often these mods also break often. Animations contain only clips and a tuning file related to the clip - no defaults are replaced so they can't break the game. One can use also 5y old TS4 animations or poses without issues.
