AskaProfessional Posted February 24 Posted February 24 OfficeAffairs View File ❤️❤️❤️ UPDATED 06/14/2026 ❤️❤️❤️ Due to the significant internal changes in this update, I recommend clearing your game cache before launching the game with the new version What's New: 2.0.3 (06/14/2026) Gender Preference Support The Boss and the Employee roles are no longer limited to one specific gender OfficeAffairs now supports different gender preferences and no longer limits the Boss and the Employee roles to one specific gender. Bosses and Employees can now be male or female, and romance-related gameplay is based on Sim gender preferences More Flexible Boss Generation A Boss is still generated automatically when needed, but the system now takes the active Sim's preferences into account when creating one. You can also create your own office environment manually, adjust Sim preferences, and shape the workplace dynamic yourself. Small Business Support OfficeAffairs now includes early support for Small Business gameplay. This system is more limited than regular career support for now, and it is still in development. The owner automatically becomes the boss when opening a new business. No MBA or CEO application needed. Employees are also initialized when hired. Bonuses and PTO OfficeAffairs now supports more workplace rewards. In addition to promotions, Sims may now receive bonuses or PTO depending on the situation, outcome, and workplace dynamic. More Balanced Career Progression Promotions are now less frequent and more balanced. Instead of every successful situation leading directly to a promotion, Sims may receive a bonus, PTO, or other career-related outcomes. This should make progression feel more natural and less predictable. Updated Dialogs, Buffs, and Notifications Dialogs, buff names, descriptions, reasons, and notifications were updated to match the new gender preference support, expanded career logic, bonuses, PTO, and workplace outcomes. Expanded Secret System The secret system has been expanded. If someone knows too much about an Office Affair, invite the secret holder over and see what happens next. Some secrets are not meant to stay quiet forever. Stability and System Improvements This update includes major internal system changes, fixes, and cleanup work designed to make OfficeAffairs more stable, flexible, and easier to expand in future updates. Changelog 2.0.2 (05/04/2026) More Flexible Career Roles Better Career Filtering Improved Career Progression Updated Dialogs, Buffs, and Notifications New Secret System 2.0.1 (04/06/2026) Added new dialogue options in the pie menu Expanded CEO gameplay with promotions and bonus mechanics New workplace events for the CEO Employees now react dynamically to generous actions Updated OfficeAffairs UI components Fixed pregnancy system behavior Internal improvements and system stability updates I’m actively working on the mod, so it may still contain some issues. Please keep an eye on updates - they will be frequent 🤪 OfficeAffairs is a social gameplay expansion mod focused on workplace drama, power dynamics, relationships, and story driven interactions. It introduces new targeted social mixers, custom buffs, hidden traits, relationship bits, career related systems, and reactive outcomes that integrate directly into live gameplay. I have been playing The Sims for many years, and this is a mod I personally always wanted to exist in my own gameplay - something that adds the kind of narrative depth and dynamics I felt were missing. For now, events may happen quite frequently. This is intentional for the first release and testing phase. In future versions, pacing and behavior will become configurable. You can play both sides of the story: Play as a Boss or play as an Employee. Each role has its own interactions and progression paths. You can now experience a full career narrative: Start as an employee Build relationships and make choices Progress through your career Complete the required advanced career program Become a Boss Gameplay Overview: The boss system is dynamic and flexible: A Boss can be generated automatically when an employee joins a career Or created manually by the player using cheats or naturally To become a Boss: Reach the top level of a full-time career Complete the required advanced career program via the computer or phone Apply for a Boss position via PC or phone This creates a natural progression path instead of relying only on generated bosses. The Boss is a fully playable Sim with their own traits, career, and role in the story. You can play both sides of the story. As an employee: Build a relationship with your boss Attempt to seduce the Boss Ask for a promotion Ask for a PTO Ask to be hired As a Boss: Offer jobs to Sims Fire employees React to relationship dynamics Give bonuses Give PTO Influence story progression Cheats: The following commands are available: oa.init_boss Promotes the active Sim to CEO Requires: Sim with a full-time career oa.init_employee Initializes the active Sim as an Employee Requires: Sim with a full-time career oa.help Displays available OfficeAffairs commands Current features: Play as a Boss with unique social power interactions Play as an employee and build a risky office relationship Ask for promotion through special interactions Attempt to seduce your boss Boss can fire an uncooperative employee Boss can offer a job Boss can give bonuses Boss can give a PTO Boss can promote employee Sims can ask to be hired Custom buffs, relationship bits, and hidden traits drive outcomes and long term consequences This is only the foundation. The system is designed to expand with more branches, decisions, and reactive storytelling over time. Requirements: Huge thanks to TURBODRIVER for WickedWhims: Without this incredible mod and the powerful systems it provides, OfficeAffairs and many other gameplay mods would not exist. Download: WickedWhims You can support TURBODRIVER here OfficeAffairs is compatible with both the public and patreon versions Important: Current gameplay is mostly designed around rabbit hole style and active full-time career events and social interactions. More visible systems and deeper gameplay layers will be expanded in future updates. Please be gentle, this is my first public release and still a learning journey. I plan to keep expanding the project and would love to hear ideas and suggestions about future directions. Follow me here, feel free to leave comments and share your suggestions. I will be happy to respond as soon as possible. After installation your folder structure should look similar to: ...\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\OfficeAffairs\ .package & .ts4script Make sure Script Mods are enabled in Game Options. Getting Started Create your main character first Start by creating a female Sim who will become the employee. The gameplay flow currently begins from the employee perspective, and many systems activate only after she joins a career. Join a career Once your Sim gets a job, the OfficeAffairs system will automatically generate a boss for that career. The boss is a fully playable Sim, not just a background character. The Boss System The generated CEO/boss: Exists as a real Sim in the world Has their own career and traits Can be played directly by switching control Drives many of the story interactions and outcomes Gameplay Basics Most current gameplay happens through: Targeted social interactions Rabbit hole style career events Visible gameplay layers will expand in future updates, but the core systems are already active behind the scenes. Playing as Employee As an employee you can: Build a relationship with your boss Attempt to seduce the CEO Ask for promotion Ask to be hired (if unemployed) Experience buffs, reactions, and long term consequences based on choices Playing as CEO If you switch control to the boss, you can: Offer jobs to Sims Fire employees React to relationship dynamics Influence story progression from a position of power Important Notes The boss is created dynamically when the employee joins a career. Interactions become available only when the required traits, careers, and relationship conditions are met. Many systems are intentionally frequent in this early release to help testing and storytelling. Current Limitations The current gameplay flow is primarily designed for: CEO male and Employee female. Reverse dynamics and additional branches are planned for future versions. Disclaimer: This mod is not intended to offend or target anyone. It exists purely to add narrative variety, drama, and roleplay depth to The Sims gameplay experience. Current limitations: Right now the main gameplay flow is tuned for CEO male and Employee female. Reverse dynamics and a full LGBT branch are planned for future updates. Thank you for your patience while development continues. Dantony Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I was surprised to find, even after disabling pregnancy in WW settings, the acceptance of CEO attention forced player character pregnancy. Was this addressed in the update? I also had a male member of the household propositioned by his CEO. Again, addressed? 1

As for the male Sim, that’s very strange… I will test it, and if necessary, I will update the mod update: yeah, I see, I'm fixing this 😃 Thank you again last update: ✅ Done Edited March 2 by AskaProfessional
FB-Sims Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Would there be a chance of allowing younger CEOs in the future? Locking it at elder is quite annoying when playing form CEO pov, being able to play as a adult or even young adult as rare there are young CEOs in real life. Having them maybe spawn as only elder or adult would make sense but i don't see why they need to be locked to specifically elder, i think a power to the player would be interesting even if default is kept to elder but having that flexibility to have a younger CEO i think would make the mod much more flexible and appealing to others. This mod is very interesting to me and i will remain following it certainly but those are just some suggestions i have! 1

This mod is very interesting to me and i will remain following it certainly but those are just some suggestions i have! Honestly, I’ve thought about that too. It is a bit annoying that the boss’s lifespan is so short and there’s no variety. Thanks for the suggestion. In the next update I’ll randomize the boss’s age: Young Adult, Adult, or Elder🤓 For now, you can change the CEO’s age using MCCC, it won’t affect the gameplay 1

Just a warning in my download at least which was the one here off loverslab just last night at like 8 so i assume its the latest unless patreon has a early release but when i edited my CEO sim in CAS changing them from elder to adult it removed the CEO role and when using MCCC to force add the role it wasn't there so I think in the code its hard coded currently to make CEOs be elder only or the role trait is removed and locked from all other life stages. Just to help you with editing the code if my assumption is true. 1

Cubanabop Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Unfortunately this mod is not working at all for me ... I have it installed correctly but there is no game play whatsoever. Is it possibly because my female sim has a part-time career? 1

AskaProfessional Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 1 hour ago, tommorowneverdies said: believe so, has to be one of those rabbit hole careers. The mod works only with full-time rabbit hole careers and also partially with active careers (but you need to send the Sim to work alone at least once). Part-time careers usually don’t involve long career progression or high-ranking positions, so the mod does not apply to them 1
sammark Posted March 8 Posted March 8 (edited) hey a small suggestion, after the first day rabbithole social event, i opened the ceo profile, and i only see "casual sexpartners" tag in the relationship section but not the "had sex with" tag, try to add it and also when i open sim statistics in the wickedwhims, the sex with ceo in the rabbithole event is not counted in the list Edited March 8 by sammark 1

I may integrate this properly in a future update Thank you for the idea Update: I’ve fixed the statistics part in the new version, so those events should now be counted correctly, I hope. Regarding the "had sex with" tag, I can try to add it as well. I didn’t immediately realize what you meant, so this will likely be included in the next update. Edited March 9 by AskaProfessional
random-name-please Posted March 9 Posted March 9 so ive noticed that the pregnancy for this might be high. I am unsure if its only me but I have two sims who both agreed at different times (one just started working) and they both got pregnancy the first time. even with other sims that are not their bosses do they even get pregnant (one was infertile so that was a surprise). But other than the pregnancy I am inlove with this mod. 1

But other than the pregnancy I am inlove with this mod. The pregnancy chance actually depends on traits, so different Sims may have different probabilities. Pregnancy should also not start for infertile Sims. I actually fixed and improved this behavior in version 1.0.3, so it should work correctly now. And thank you, I’m really glad you’re enjoying the mod! Please let me know if the issue persists after the update. Edited March 9 by AskaProfessional
theman123 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 (edited) How do I play as the CEO? Can I just use a sim in my gallery or does the CEO have to be generated first by a female employee? Edited March 9 by theman123 1

AchimMaus Posted March 12 Posted March 12 (edited) First, thank you for the cool mod. Everything works as it should, but I have a question, since I made it more complicated... So, I started a new game as a woman and changed over to play the CEO after a while. I wasn't happy with the Mixer career and rather wanted to be a cook. So I left the job, ofc lost all the job contacts and possibilities of the mod, and went to university. Now, done with the studies and into a career as a cook, my guy climbed the ladder to the top and is now a celebrity cook, but the CEO status/possibilities doesn't come back. For some reason I have all the old job contacts again, though. So, my question is, is there anything I can do giving him back his CEO power? Is it a hidden trait I can cheat in, or something? Edit: found it. ~OfficeAffairs::IsBossHiddenTrait Edited March 12 by AchimMaus 1

However, I am currently working on a major update. I’m thinking about how to implement a CEO branch without the Employee role. I’m gradually expanding the mod’s capabilities. 1

Great to read that you're more expanding the mod. I'm excited to see where it's going. My spontanious idea to have the boss role function more integrated (and without the getaround game start as an employee) would be, that when you're at the top of any career, you can make a leadership course in a rabbit hole for X hours and X simeoleons to get the status. 1
GSBmodders Posted March 16 Posted March 16 This looks pretty dang cool, I cant wait to try this out! 1
xmohaa Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Hi , Mr. Aska , I have a question , so , after 1.06 updated , we can set the ceo by choosing our created sim , not random sim , is it right ? That will be wonderful if thats true , I want my couple play the roles , not using the random sim . . . 1
