I'm used to downgrad my game version to 1.10.163 anywhy. Your guide is specific for 221 I guess, so I have to search the different mod archive for the correct versions. Also I love the vtaw armor series and I'm sad it is not working with actual game version, or why is it removed from your list? If you want to downgrade then thats up to you, but then you have to check the versions of the mods you want to install. Bodyslide seems to have some issues with certain presets. Some clip after creation or got missing parts and unless that gets fixed I can't recommend them. My favourite VTAW armor/clothing mods simply stopped working properly so I had to remove them. __________________________________________________ Fixed some typos (hopefully the last ones) and added some notes. __________________________________________________ For those who know more about weapons than I do (weapons are strongly regulated here). The M16 is old enough and appeared in previous Fallouts. So it is canon and should appear in the 'Vanilla group'. But the 'M4 Platform' mod also has more modern variants included. Should I keep it in 'Modern Additions' or move it to 'Vanilla' and/or 'Vanilla Upgraded'? Edited July 11 by Aylis

It seems to be an issue with the big texture packs and I'm working on a solution for that. What I have now is one texture pack with ~60GB (which took some time to download) but the loading time at the start roughly halved. And changing locations/cells improved too. Next thing is testing Luxors guide for the LOD. I've extracted the LOD files for the tree LOD and test those now... 1

I don't have ctd, it's only kinda hang up on loading screen. I'm using this texture pack.

In my case, creating ESP/ESL plugins with SAKR sped up loading several-fold. Yes, I had a lot of patched clothing. So far it looks like the other two packs have gaps and don't cover all textures. The advantage is that Luxor replaces the vanilla BA2 from Bethesda and puts less stress on the system because of that. The drawback is that it is a lot of separate files and quite big. Or, to word it differently, the mod is harder to download and install (you have to be careful and merge the separate files). Right now I'm trying to rebuild the LOD for the game. Extracting the LOD files from several mods (the trees, rocks, etc.) already took half of the day and I hope I didn't miss something... total newby Posted Wednesday at 11:12 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:12 PM Download the 6 dlc and 9 texture files manually and open them one by one and put the ba2 textures straight into the main game data root files ,overwriting the the Bethesda ones.. That way the game loads the files quicker than using a mod manager.. You only need to use a mod manger for luxors paving/debris files etc..

But if you need to check the files of the game Steam will redownload the Bethesda ones... I prefer keep them separate as a mod and avoid that issue. Wouldn't be the first time the game chokes on something and a file breaks. Especially if you test so many mods like I do. __________________________________________________ Finally got the LOD creation working with all the texture mods we use. Only 'Misery Island' throws a few errors about missing files for trees. Got to see if I can find and then add those to the extracted files. Spoiler Havn't found them. So we won't have a reworked LOD for that island. ___________________________________________________ Working on instructions to (re)create the LOD for the guide. Instructions are done (post #5).
