Was able to, thankfully, avoid an unasked for update, and just locked the appid file in my Steam folder. Haven't lost any mods in the current file set, and I'm set to go for now. Still running 1.11.191, or whatever the previous AE patch version is.

In case you want to restore the older AE version:

Use > Windows Key + R <

Enter > steam://nav/console < and confirm.

Enter > download_depot 377160 377162 5433405173062582852 < and confirm.

Then open the folder which was created and paste the older > Fallout4.exe < from there into your game folder.

It doesn't matter. You can use the original if you need Real Handcuffs and other mods. That won't make AAF work though.

Rolled back to 191 (the important mods arn't updated yet).

 

DAK's weapons are good, but some are simply too bulky or appear way too often. The 1911 shows up in almost every safe and, although it is widespread, that is way too often. So I'll rework the guns again to get a more balanced spread of weapon types. I'll also be trying to add a few guns to get more variety.

 

Next thing I'm looking at are more quest/location mods. PRP can be a pain so I'll be looking for ones that don't cause problems with precombines.

Seasons Change is stubborn and doesn't work. I'll try a few more things but it might never end up in the guide...

 

Nope, seasons are out. The outside looks fine (PRP blocked it), but having snow inside the buildings/settlements makes it unusable.

From what I know, that is the biggest issue with seasons changed and more specifically the snow part of the mod. It just places the snow texture on everything. It doesn't take into consideration what should and shouldn't have snow on or inside. The rest of the mod tends to be fine but its the snow option that causes issues. The snow plugin isn't dynamic so it just statically puts snow on almost every surface.

Exactly. Too bad that an otherwise good mod is ruined by that.

Weapon distribution looks much better now. I managed to add some extra weapons so there are more variations in the weapons pool (and even the Supermutants are not as predictable as before).

 

Starting a new PC to ensure everything is working as intended...
