I was thinking, what if you tried to make a new holding type specifically for all the mod buildings? That way it's more compatible with other mods that change the 00_holdings file and can be used in more heavily modded sets.

It could be like a "Sex District" or "Depraved Castle" or something along those lines

I like the idea, do you have any info about whether it is even possible? But i think it would still have to replace the 00_holdings then.

The problem is, i don't see it helping with not having to replace the holding file. All the holdings are in that file, meaning temple, castles, tribal etc.

So if i were to create a new type, it would probably still have to go in there. 

 

If you have specific mods you want it to be compatible with though, a compat patch is extremely easy to do!

Regula Magistri adds a new holding type, the Palace, along with it's own specific buildings. And it has it's own holdings file that doesn't override the 00_holdings file. From what I understand of rudimentary modding, you can add new stuff to file types without specifically overriding them, you just need to have a differently named file in the holding folder and it follow the same format as other holding types.

Interesting. I took a look, but replicating the same format didn't work for my. I will look into it once i get a scope of how to expand the mod further. I am a bit out of ideas currently and i don't really play the game that much anymore. I don't really like where Paradox has led the game to, with endless text event boxes every few days.

But i am sure, i'll return soon enough :D

It means i have no idea if it works. But probably just the 00_holdings needs to be adapted to the new update. I'll do an update in the next few weeks.

 

But my focus is currently on
