Animation Help - Sex animations don't play, characters stand still. Arousal/custom idle poses work normally. Help?

In more detail, what happens is essentially this: When sex happens, all animations are of characters standing still. When playing the game, animations work fine (movement, arousal, drip, etc). I followed this guide (

 )

What i did is follow the guide to the letter by downloading requirements and mods and trying my best to install them by the order they were listed (requirements of requirements first, requirements second and the mod listed in the guide last). I used MO2 and performed the bodyslide builds (the bodies work, vaginaless works, schlong addons work, new gentlemen and himbo works) . Lastly, i did not download any extra beautification mods from the guide, like better interiors or better shields and weapons, etc. I did go off-path and downloaded other mods that i had more interest in. I will post my mod list, plugin list and logs all here for anyone to inspect and help in any way they can, i don't know what else to do.

To try and sort out what exactly is not working, i ended up putting FNIS 32K and running, it ended up completing fine but the amount of CTD's were impossible. After, i did FNIS then Nemesis - Nemesis always crashed, never could finish anything. Lastly, i did FNIS then Pandora - all good. I put pandora as priority to overwrite what it needed. Still stuck.

Another thing i noticed is Obody did change the bodies, but the a lesser degree. It did not match what the body slide showed, the limbs were bigger there than in-game, though they still changed. Probably unrelated. I strived to always get the newer version of mods downloaded.

If anyone had a problem like mine and managed to fix it, any thoughts would be appreaciated, thanks everyone.

Added Info - I never had a single CTD in any of my playthroughs while using this setup (i know you think i'm lying, it's skyrim we're talking about but i don't know what else to tell you). The only mod that gives me errors is Nether's Follower framework complaining about a mod overwriting its follower slots. I suspect it is Faction warfare with it's skyrim at war feature where you can recruit a lot of people, since it increases the follower count past that, correct me if i'm wrong (which i probably am). I do not have the Anniversary Edition installed nor have i purchased it, i used the above guide to inform myself of which mods are the latest and still in development and installed the ones that i could find compatibility patches or downgrades to the latest special edition.

Wasn't the limit incrased to 64K way back in late Skyrim LE? Why use a gimped version when the XXL variant has been the default for.... well years.

Irrelevant since this was fixed (or at least postponed) in SSE Engine Fixes.

Pandora overwrites the files made by FNIS. Keep FNIS installed, since you'll need it later, but there's no point running both.

Obody is not a mod you should be installing at this stage. From what I've seen so far it's doing things it really shouldn't be doing. Great on paper perhaps, but I would suggest you do not make things 10x more complicated for yourself than they need to be right now.

Run FNIS, make sure there's no warnings or errors. If SL scenes are still having actors standing in their idle poses then check the Papyrus log.

You shouldn't be modding Skyrim before you've figured out how to get your mod manager to tell you where a file is coming from. This is like step 1 of modding.

Something tells me you're wrong. Check the version of your SkyrimSE.exe, not the Steam/GOG receipt.

Yeah i said 32k because that's what the exact description of FNIS says - > Behavior Files and Generators for Skyrim SE - allows for 32,000 animation - ATTENTION: might result in longer generation times and more frequent load CTD
For a list of changes see "DESCRIPTION

But yeah it is using the animation fixes so it does go further than 32k

I was just trying to be as exact as i could. When i said i didn't own it it's because i saw people complaining about not mentioning you have AE if you didn't get the DLC upgrade from where you bought SSE. If i said i have AE, wouldn't you have assumed i also had the AE DLC as well? My game is 1.6 but i don't have the AE upgrade dlc.

Also i don't why you're being an ass about it but okay, sounds like i have to follow your advice and figure shit out myself, how dare i come here and ask for help right? ¯\(ツ)

No. The CC content is irrelevant in the vast majority of issues. It's far far far more common for people to think they have SE, because that's what they bought from Steam/GOG.

I assume you were expecting me to tell you exactly which file and which mod is causing the issue. I wish you good luck in your future modding endeavours.

Actually no brother, you assume a lot. That's causing a lot of problems in this conversation, you should probably stop assuming so much. What i wanted actually was insight, a direction to look, not the exact coordinates. Where in general is the problem? Would this problem be more common in a FNIS installation? Is it possible for it to be related to an older pack of animations that were not converted properly? What i didn't expect was the condescending attitude. Brother i'm not asking for handfed step by step of everything, just a general direction where is more likely to be the focus of the problem.

Like for example i just downloaded a newer set of animations and installed them.

These worked without problems (despite showing warnings in FNIS), then i re-applied pandora. It is now more likely to me that it's probably a problem with older animation packs, even though i'm using the Automated SLSB conversions (they are showing being overwritten in MO2, the ones i'm using) . But that's fine if you don't wanna help brother, i won't bother the great master of modding any further, at least i have a direction to look at.

Wow, really? Does this "Shaskou" person treat everyone like that? He\she doesn't even know which game version they're running and the calling "traison" an ass? FNIS XXL has been the dominant FNIS main mod (vs other FNIS main mods) to install for years, I use FNIS XXL, not Nemesis or Pandora. My game plays animations just fine with the occasional freeze up mid scene, but I'm not the level of modder I should be after so many years of trying. I run the "Toys" mod set in my game which makes the FNIS thing just a little more complex, overlapping animations between the "Toys" anim's and all the others. (Billy's, Lieto's and the others) When I run the "Consistency Check" in FNIS I get over 800 warnings, the author of the "Toys" mods says that's not a problem and to ignore it, so I do. But, so far, my game is doing well and with some GREAT gaming sex. That "sucking horse cock" thing is a new one for me, never seen that one before, lol!

So now i don't know my Skyrim version number because i chose to not mention owning a AE game to avoid confusion of having a full AE steam DLC installation? Okay. All this coming from me giving back the condescention treatment i got? I started the thread friendly and tried to be respectful to not waste helpful people's time guessing what i have and what i don't have, i didn't pose myself as higher-than-thou and certainly didn't judge anyone. So i have to take it but it's wrong when i give it? Alright.

Not that it matters though, i managed to find the problem, it wasn't as complicated as i thought, was a nasty one, so no use in keeping this thing going. Lessons were learned here though, that's for sure. Cheers.

It's just that I use this site because of the way we all work together to help each other, name calling serves no purpose but to upset other people... like me. Please, no more of that. I do not use "Discord" because of that reason, LL is the only place I go for help with my modding issues, it's the best.

Holy cow, your entire comment chain was just vitrol & condescending. Please keep your "helpful" advice to yourself in the future.

None of what traison said was vitriolic or condescending. You should look up the meaning of 'vitriol'.

Eh... okay, entertaining drama aside, I'm also having a similar issue that is kind of related to this but a little different. Most of my anims work no problem...but in any animation with Chaurus or horses specifically, if I change the animation to any other, it'll play for about half a second before the two actors start standing inside each other. If I use the "realign actors" hotkey, the same thing happens. Only thing that corrects it is advancing the animation stage and then using the realign hotkey, but if I change the anim being played again or go back a stage, the issue starts all over. The anim works normally only if I never change it. I don't use Pandora; I use FNIS. I'm running Skyrim 1.5.97 with uh... you know, a fuckton of mods as one does with Skyrim these days. And like the erm... op... I'm not looking for specifics necessarily; just looking for something that might clue me in as to what's up with my issue.; is it an install issue, is it an FNIS issue, is it a my-tiny-ape-brain-cannot-comprehend-the-tech-before-me issue...?

I see this somtimes when I've made a boo-boo and stuffed up the Papyrus engine. What's your Papyrus ops budget set to in Papyrus Tweaks?

Currently? A lot better than before. Before you pointed that out? Effectively an IOU. That was indeed my problem; thanks for pointing me there. I sometimes forget that papyrus with acute congestion leads to all kinds of problems; it was starting to affect other actor types beyond the ones I mentioned after doing a bit of play testing. It's been a while since I did routine maintenance, and now (and again, thanks to you) I know what I kept forgetting to do the last time I went full ham with my most recent modding binge. Rookie mistake.

Is this available in English? WTF is "papyrus with acute congestion"? What "routine maintenance" involving Papyrus?

For some people the Papyrus engine gets slower over time as scripts get started and remain running in the background. I would assume the maintenance mentioned here is the same method that has been used since day 1 in Skyrim: find a small indoor cell and go sit in the corner for 5 minutes.

Personally I feel like all that is just a disgusting workaround for a somewhat serious underlying problem. The fix would be to clean up these noisy scripts: remove them, rewrite them, replace while loops with OnUpdate, whatever is needed. But if it works and it's not too annoying, then why not Blair Witch'it every once in a while to let things settle.
