BSnake Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Remember that ENB presets require certain versions of the ENB binary. Vibrant Fantasy ENB requires ENB v13.7.13 and Opethfeldt ENB requires v0.229. You might get errors if you use Opethfeldt ENB with the d3d9.dll v13.7.13. Unfortunately, ENB v0.229 is no longer available from the site, so you'll have to download v0.236 or higher and tweak the new parameters found in those updates yourself. If updating the binary doesn't help, it might be the DOF acting strange. Go in-game and press Shift + Enter at the same time. The enbseries.ini should appear with all of the variables available to edit. Scroll down, uncheck EnableDepthOfField, and click Apply. If this fixes the problem, you might have some strange settings in your enbeffectprepass.fx file. Open it using Notepad (I recommend Notepad++), find the configuration parameters if they exist, and experiment with the values. Also, are you using Crossfire?
Veladarius Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Typically if everything is blurry it is the Depth of Field. You can turn that off in the ENB console in game.
Veladarius Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Yeah, but Vibrant ENB worked more or less ok with a little annoying blur, but Opethfeldt was insufferable. Do you ENB gurus always adjust the settings of your setups? I do quite a bit of adjustment to mine, mostly color and lighting changes. As I remember the DOF settings are in the endeffectprepass file but many of them are not very user friendly to adjust. There is a good guide to what the enb settings are on the Nexus and is what I have used to figure things out. This is the DOF file I use, I picked it up off the forums from Boris's ENB site. It is adjustable and at these settings it is fairly minor, primarily just a small amount in the distance. You can just replace the one in the Skyrim directory (back up the old one) and make sure it is on in the ENB console. enbeffectprepass.zip Screenshot from Valtheim Towers using it.
