Is there no mod nowadays that allows selecting and changing scenes during a scene?

I remember many years ago that SexLab Tools allowed this simple, basic, common sense functionality that's like in the top 3 things anyone might want to do with a sex mod, i.e. change animations on the fly. After some 10-15+ years somehow this is still not an absolute basic native core functionality (like literally the next thing you want to do after you get animations to work), and SLP+ says it's incompatible with SL Tools v3.0.

But even if it was compatible (which it seems like it is btw) it wouldn't even matter because SL Tools was updated and made worse; now you can't just have a simple UIExtension popup with the names of all the animations you have, now you need all the MCM options shoved in your face within the popup and at best maybe you're able to search (type) for tags or animation names - if you don't have what you thought you had or didn't learn names by heart, tough luck wandering in the dark, typing like a maniac. Literally Flower Girls has this right now through a UIExtension addon*, and literally SexLab Tools had this before it was updated.

And what's with monkeying OStim by shitting up the UI with all kinds of nonsense that weren't there before? I don't want to play a separate sex minigame (if I do I'll download a mod made for that), I just wanted animations to play, manually advance, manually change to a different animation, manually end the animation with 0 extra UI on screen. Literally the reason why I didn't care to LEARN (because it's learning a new UI, let me tell you) OStim and moved back to SexLab. I couldn't care less about orgasm bars and broken animation speed changers and "threads" and "debug" options in my face either.

Holy fucking shit. Sorry for the frustration. Why is everything worse compared to 10 years ago, what happened, and most importantly, is there a fix? Anything just so not a random ass animation plays that you can't change from.

Just so I also say something positive... the performance is improved, I guess, although I don't run a heavy setup.

*No manual advance stage and extremely limited animations, which is why I don't use Flower Girls. Otherwise I would, I'm not running some SL heavy setup.

Edit:

Just found out that there is already an in-built scene selector, but:

- It only works within the same category of animations (can't switch from "riding" to "doggy", just other "riding" tagged animations)

- It's an on-screen cumbersome UI that's a total eyesore

- Can't be used in free camera mode (applies to the entire UI btw., like animation speed changing)

- Navigation is a nightmare (had use the "qqq" command just to get out of accidentally getting into the "annotations" section of an animation)
