Sims 3 player looking for technical help from those whom may have the knowledge but no longer engage with TS3

Hey All!

 

Recent requests for custom Sims 3 has left several of us in the dark.

 

Using the classic export sim (creates a sims3pack), changing it to a .package file for ease of use. Renaming it to a .sim file to be placed into the saved sims folder results in large file sizes which are unacceptable when other earlier uploads from others are 1/10 the size.

 

My recent upload attempt resulted in a 230MB file when the same thing was achieved resulting in a 21MB file. That smaller file included custom skin, hair, makeup and accessories while keeping base game outfits worn while mine was similar with only custom default feet and nude bottom being included.

 

The person whom uploaded those wonderful Sims with such a small file size hasn't been active for years and I hoped this post might help get some results.
