axchtung_hypothesis Posted January 8 Posted January 8 After trying to get creature animations working (to no avail), I go back in and see that Sexlab animations look like this now. I'm using Nemesis, however I built FNIS files and disabled it after. Re-enabling FNIS does not fix this. Below I have my Mod List and the order of it, please let me know if I'm missing any mods or if the order is wrong. P.S. The "Final version 2" mod at spot 120 is just sarcasticdragons snarky loading screen tips Mod List Updated.txt

Pandora) all build the same files. How about clearing out behaviour files, then building with just FNIS for a sanity check? 3 minutes ago, axchtung_hypothesis said: After trying to get creature animations working (to no avail), I go back in and see that Sexlab animations look like this now. Fairly certain using Nemesis and FNIS together to get creatures working involved a few more steps than that? 5 minutes ago, axchtung_hypothesis said: ...and disabled it after. Re-enabling FNIS does not fix this. Disabled what? The FNIS generated behaviour files? Disabling the mod that contains the FNIS program itself is entirely irrelevant in anything Skyrim related. 6 minutes ago, axchtung_hypothesis said: Below I have my Mod List and the order of it, please let me know if I'm missing any mods or if the order is wrong. Removed any animation mods lately? When was the last time you rebuilt the SL animation register? What does the Papyrus log have to say about this scene starting?

What does the Papyrus log have to say about this scene starting? I haven't removed any animation mods and I always make sure to count SL Animations on every load of my save. Every animation is registered and enabled at the time of this bug. I'm very new to Skyrim modding as a whole so unfortunately I do not know where to find the Papyrus log, I apologize. 1 hour ago, traison said: Fairly certain using Nemesis and FNIS together to get creatures working involved a few more steps than that? The thing is I've never had creatures work at all, but regular Sexlab animations worked before I tried to fix this. 1 hour ago, traison said: How about clearing out behaviour files, then building with just FNIS for a sanity check? I go back in and everyone is still clipped into eachother. Apologies as I am very bad at modding Skyrim.

I was thinking the opposite: missing animation registered in SL. 35 minutes ago, axchtung_hypothesis said: The thing is I've never had creatures work at all... My understanding is that only FNIS and Pandora can build creature files. Thus, if you insist on using Nemesis, you need to make sure Nemesis overwrites the humanoid files made by FNIS. If you're using MO2 this requires a bit if shuffling with mod output folders. It's also really easy to overwrite the wrong files when using MO2's mod output folder feature, since it does literally what it says on the tin: places *NEW* files in the mod output folder - files that already exist will be overwritten in whichever mod is currently providing them. 38 minutes ago, axchtung_hypothesis said: ...I do not know where to find the Papyrus log.. axchtung_hypothesis Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 I'm sorry. I am not good at modding and I do not think I can do this. I removed most of the mods and I apologize for wasting your time.

After seeing creature animations work I shot out of my seat and began to fix my actual mod list. Losing my save file of 6 hours (sadly), I found out that Papyrus Util was causing most of the issues. Not to mention mod order and having the wrong USSEP and All in one. Also, deleting Nemesis and using purely FNIS mods helped. To anyone who stumbles on this, or if Traison reads this, don't be a bitch like me and give up. You can always do this with a level head and working slow.

The unfortunate thing with PapyrusUtil is that some mods bundle its dll in their installer. Usually causing all kinds of issues related to reading or writing json files. Me personally I just clean the bloat from these mods - I don't like having some random hat mod with an unrelated dll in it. The easy way around this would be to have the actual PapyrusUtil mod always load last, but you may find that there's a lot of mods that demand they're loaded last. You're eventually going to run out of these legendary "last" mod slots. 1

No worries, many of us have been there or close. Skyrim is the single most frustrating game, let alone "computer program", that I've ever dealt with in over 40 years of computer work. If Skyrim was a girlfriend (or boyfriend to be fair to wymynfolk), describing her (or him) as "high maintenance" might be a gross understatement 1
