Is There a Way into the Nexus?

I received an "Invalid Username/Password" error when I attempted to log back in to the Skyrim Nexus-- I'd apparently mistyped one of the letters.  So, I tried, again, and received the same result.  I couldn't imagine how; but, perhaps, somehow, I was mistyping one of the hidden keys in the password???

I then skipped over to the FONV Nexus, where all of the login fields were already filled out from previous visits (I have no idea why such was not the case on the Skyrim Nexus, as well).  I attempted to log in there, where there could be no doubt about the fields being filled out properly, and I still received the same error.

The Nexus has instructions for reporting bugs if you believe that you are being denied access by mistake.  Obviously, such was my opinion, and I posted my report.

And, now, I sit, unable to log in.

I've reported a total of five bugs in the past, and, months and months later, have received precisely one post in response; so, my faith in getting help is less than solid.  One of my mods needs to be updated, but, I can't download the new version because I can't log in.  I almost created a second I.D. to get around the problem, then read the TOS as I was creating the account stating that I would have both accounts banned for having two accounts.

Consequently, I sit in de facto exile, with the only practical solution foreclosed by the threat of having both accounts banned... I'm damned if I do, and I'm damned if I don't.

I tried restarting my computer-- that worked when I was locked out of NMM; but, it doesn't work for being locked out of the Nexus.

Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge about this kind of problem?

It is the weekend. LL is running a bit "off" right now, too.

Heck, start another account, lay low and just use it to get what you need. But that may take as long to get confirmed as it would to get help and log in with your actual account. Who knows?

@gvman3670--

I split the difference.  My daughter becomes nauseated playing games in which she must look at the world through the character's perspective (even in Third Person, apparently) as much as is required in Skyrim.  So, she created an I.D. for me to use until such day as the Nexus ever restores my access.

You'll never get a response from them and you'll get an IP ban if you set up a second account. However, there is one moderator there that is actually a good guy and he might be able to help you if you contact him directly http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/131368/? . He's one of the chat moderators but he can still get your problem sorted out if you ask nicely, good luck.

I had a similar situation arise the other day when trying to log in. In four login attempts it gave an error that my login was improper. This is preposterous as I do not make typing errors often. The odd thing was it showed I was logged in afterwards at the top but the page would not load properly upon refresh. It only displayed the error page. So I clicked on the forum button and that also made me login. Then clicking the Nexus at the top loaded properly and I was logged in.

The Nexus has seemed to be very sluggish lately. It's sad that they have yet to assist you in getting this issue resolved. I hope you get it worked out and I hope I don't see this arise again and have my account locked out.

Hello Unm how to say this

Can't you just tell them you lost your password and have them email you a new temporary one to get back in.. I think the server does this automatically.. You really shouldn't have to wait more than a few minutes. One more thing to get into nexus you must allow whitelist their cookie and allow javascript i think it is.. If your using FireFox with NoScript you need to whitelist that too. and allow pubgears. Tell NoScript to temporarly allow everything on that page or Nexus?? I hope I said that right...

I think their pages use a lot of JS Or maybe it's html5 I don't know or care but I remember the cookie thing and the no script ... Or try Internet Explorer to get in Good luck
