Activated Almonds Posted January 4 Posted January 4 (edited) DBVO 2B Voice Pack for Troubles of Heroine 2.8.1 [Base Game + DLC] View File Hello all, These are DBVO Voice Packs of the character 2B for the Troubles of Heroine mod. I made these back in 10/28/2023 (time stamp is based on the date created file in my output folder for these voice files) and came back to Skyrim recently and recalled I had these. So I figure I'd share the love and after checking if there were any DBVO voice packs for 2B for ToH (which I found none in my surface level googling). This mod will work for newer versions of the mod, just that any new dialogue added after 2.8.1 will have no voice for. Please note: the grammar in the voice lines should follow the regular ToH ones. I did make some corrections on my own so my version of Troubles of Heroine is a little but custom as the changes are purely the dialogue. Do I remember how I did this? No. Do I plan to? Maybe, but it'll be a low priority thing until the frenzy strikes me. But give me some time to immersive myself in re-learning the process and I'll update this mod with the latest. Will I upload my version of Trouble of Heroine as a separate add-on to this page to ensure full dialogue? Sure, if people can let me know if that's the case. There are also some dialogue that's quieter than the rest of the mod due to consistency issues with ElevenLabs back in the day (unsure if they made any improvements, I stopped my subscription after making this 2B Voice Pack), but I'll re-create the mod at a later time. I do plan on marking more DBVO for 2B for all of Bakafactory's core mods, and plan to also make one for Wonder Woman as well, using the voice work of WW in the Justice League animated shows, so that will be on my plate. THIS FILE WILL ONLY BE MAINTAINED ON LOVERSLAB. If someone uploads this literally anywhere else, it is not me. If you download this from anywhere else, I cannot assist with any issues you may encounter after installing this file from the 3rd party source. ---------------- Requirements Dragonborn Voice Over (Latest version) and all its requirements: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/84329 2B Voice Pack - DBVO (Latest version) and all its requirements: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/90366 Troubles of Heroine (2.8.1 and above): ------------------ Installation Install with Mod Manager and put under the Dragonord Voice Over Mod and the 2B Voice Pack - Main mod from the mod order. See attached screenshot for Load Order Example. All the mods but the "2B TOH..." mods are from the 2b Voice Pack - DBVO mod page on Nexus, under the optional files section. After reports that installing this voice pack causes the game to not start, I found a mod in my load order that should edit the English for the original Troubles of Heroine mod to reduce the character limit. Please try downloading and adding that to the end of the original Troubles of Heroine mod in the mod order. ------------------- Credits Mod image: https://x.com/YuffieDrawings MathiewMay for their DBVO mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/84329 Baroudii for the 2B DBVO Voice Pack mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/users/69778603 @factoryclose for his lovely Babo mods Submitter Activated Almonds Submitted 01/04/2026 Category Adult Mods Requirements DBVO, 2B Voice Pack - DBVO, Troubles of Heroine 2.8.1 and above Regular Edition Compatible Install Instructions Edited January 4 by Activated Almonds grammar fix 1
Unknown22923 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Sadly prevented my game from starting, I believe there is a size/letter limit on each sound file when using DBVO, I cant remember what the max was.

Oh that sucks. I see people say that an 80 character limit for voice lines are the limit, and I think 66 KBs for the size limit? I'm unsure what can be causing the crash though as I can run the game just fine, but that's not a valid thing to say from me, of course it'll work on my computer cause I made it on my machine. Some people suggest diving into the .fuz files in the Mod and deleting any files over 66 KBs, see if that works. Otherwise, if you downloaded all the voice packs and they're all enabled, try toggling all but one of them off and see if that does anything. I should note, I am using the latest DBVO version 1.1.1, latest version of SKYUI (at time of writing, 1/4/2026), ConsoleUtilSSE version 1.2.0 and JContainers SE 4.1.1.3, and I am on Skyrim SE version 1.5.97 if that helps you triage. I only tried the big main file, no DLC as I wanted to test it first. did try and remove everything 60+ KB but didn't let me start for some reason, after I uninstalled the entire voice pack the game started up as normal. gotta say i cant be arsed to check every character length on those 8k+ file you added x_x Its weird it only affect some people, like some settings is is not set correctly up. That's fair, this voice pack is 2 years old and looking on reddit, some people encounter the same issue you're describing with other voice packs. I'm unsure what new technologies exist now since I made that voice pack that will fix the issue but I plan to redo the 2B voice pack for all of the up-to-date versions of factoryclose/bakafactory's mods soon, so hopefully that should fix the issue.
AldroTora Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I wonder, for mods like this, do the "emotions" of the dialogue sound appropriate? I tried different DBVO packs but found the characters are speaking calmly when they should be in pain, angry, sad etc

There's is a DBVO discord so maybe they can shed some light? I'm unsure if there is a new process to properly add emotion outside of punctuation but I plan to redo these voice packs anyway soon.

WipeLawn Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I found this comment from a user on Nexus, don't know if that's true but that could be the case. Quote Crashing can occur when dialogue lines are very long because there is a hard limit in windows file systems to a total character length of 255 characters. This includes the file path + the file name. Under the hood, DBVO uses .fuz files named exactly the same as the lines in game. I have seen it suggested elsewhere to sort problematic DBVO packs by file size and delete anything over XXkb, where XX is an arbitrary size someone picked and happened to achieve success. While this is one way to fix it, it is only a band-aid solution at best and leaves you with unvoiced dialogue and extremely long pauses. The proper solution is moving your Skyrim install closer to root directory. Since most people have Skyrim installed in Program Files, DBVO only has about 80 characters to work with, which means voice lines can be, at max, 76 characters (file extension is part of the count). Moving the Skyrim directory closer to root (something like E:\Skyrim or E\Games\Skyrim) will prevent this crash from occurring outside of the most grandiose and wordy player dialogue lines. As an example of an install path that can run SDA's patch with the longest lines included here's my own: Spoiler: ShowC:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Sound\DBVO\voicebella\Up_to_this_point,_since_we_started_traveling_together,_you_have_been_the_best_thing_to_enter_my_life._But_nothing_has_changed!_Even_now_I_still_have_nightmares!.fuz Total character length of the above is 246. I could even save myself 23 characters by moving my Skyrim install closer to the Games folder, 29 if I put it in C:\. Point being if you crash on load after installing a voice pack it is because of this most likely. Either delete the longest file names, or move your Skyrim directory closer to root. I couldn't launch my game at first with that voice pack too. So I removed every file bigger than 66KBs and it started without any trouble. My game is installed in Program Files BTW.
