Project Diva Dreamy Theater: Semi-SFW nude mod (.farc version)

So... a story why I released this mod.

I was supposed to update invisible accessories mod of Senran Kagura, but I was stumped at porting a custom model back into the game, so I moved on from making it.

But I learned some of the trick to tinker around in Blender, so I moved into Project Diva, which, while have active modding scenes going on in Megamix, it doesn't have much things going on in past titles. And also, Kagamine Len and Kaito have no public nude mods around, so I wanted to do something about it.

 

I started from Dreamy Theater 2nd (DT2nd for short) and Arcade (pre-Future tone), because these two have officially made nude base body to work with. And simply moving models around was quite a simple process. That was... until I started to port models into DT Extend. It first started from broken nail textures, but by the time I ported Meiko it started to break the game.

Turns out MikuMikuModel I have, primary tool to edit Project Diva models have some broken fbx exporters. Not only it breaks metalic textures and textures with transparency, it also corrupts texture IDs, which appears to be a cause of broken textures on nails, and crashes game when it corrupts body textures.

While I could fix most of these by manually editing files, as it is so much of a hassle and couldn't find a way to fix metalic textures, I had to throw a towel and gather what I could salvage. bin exporters were thankfully still working, but I can't edit a model and import back with it. I'll need to take a break from expanding on this mod until I can do something about this appearently broken tool.

.farc version is much simpler to install, but the file is much heavier and harder to edit (such as moving a module to other slots).

 

For a smaller file size and more freedom over installation, please refer to the source version.

 

This mod is a direct port of base models left in Dreamy Theater 2nd. Note that it doesn't have nipples or genitals implemented, some people call this "doll nudity" or "barbie doll anatomy".

Post title is taken from that Splatoon mod that did basically the same thing.

 

List of Modules with nude bodies in this mod:

 

• Hatsune Miku - 初音ミク スイムウェア (Hatsune Miku Swimwear) for Twintails, プラグイン (Plug-In) for loose hair
• Kagamine Rin - 鏡音リン スイムウェア (Kagamine Rin Swimwear)
• Kagamine Len - 鏡音レン スイムウェア (Kagamine Len Swimwear)
• Megurine Luka - 巡音ルカ スイムウェア (Megurine Luka Swimwear)
• Kaito - カイト スイムウェア (Kaito Swimwear)
• Meiko - メイコ スイムウェア (Meiko Swimwear)

 

I've also restored number tags on Miku, Rin and Luka's left arm that Sega apparently did not include in anything but their default module. I also added Len's to keep the consistency with Rin. (Meiko and Kaito never had tags to begin with)

 

This mod is primarily built for Dreamy Theater Extend, but they are all organized in swimsuit modules to make it work across all Dreamy Theater games. Because yes, it technically works on other DT games, I tested it working on DT2nd.

 

...Unfortunately extra characters like Akita Neru is not included, because one, these 6 were already occupying 98.5% of the Loverslab file size limit, and two, as I said, the tools are no more working properly to extend on more. Source version can help you solving this.

 

                                                                          

 

Note : Due to how the file is structured in the game, this file is whopping 985MB of size. Make sure your internet is stable and has plenty of storages left in the device.

 

Note 2 : To play DT2nd or DTExtend, you'll probably need to grab these save files and follow the instruction there to make the game work. I don't think I can find a save file for original Dreamy Theater, but if I'm being honest, that game is uh, "too small" to be worth playing...

  1. Dump your Project Diva Dreamy Theater game in PS3. If it's done in emulator, the emulator should dump the game for you while installing the game.

  2. Install and extract this file, note that this file is almost 1GB of size due to how the files are structured in this game.

  3. Copy and paste the files inside into the directory (Your PS3 storage)/dev_hdd0/game/(Game code)/USRDIR/rom/objset. Overwrite duplicates.
