rorycampbell<3 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I've played Skyrim since its launch, and I've created 3 beautiful characters during multiple play-throughs. Unlike Dragon Age which you can have multiple characters you can play with in one go, Skyrim cannot.So I want to turn those characters I've created into followers. However, I'm very new to the creation kit and making mods beyond simple body mods and other minor things. Here is what I want to learn:1)How to make unique followers -a)How to turn .npc files into actual head meshes (.nif) Solved -b)How to assign head, eyes, body, hair... meshes to their location (ie. how to allocate them in CK) Solved -c)How to I assign proper AI and attributes to the followers Solved -d)How to I place followers in a certain cell/location in Skyrim Solved -e) How to allocate custom face and body textures? Solved -f) How can I make the followers use hair styles from other mods? Solved 2)How to make the mod work -a)How to build the mod SolvedI will be very graceful if a step-by-step tutorial is given, cuz I can't find any which I understand. drttoldman Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Hello Cavinano Nice work getting that follower out and being stand alone that's a lot of work. I like when people do them that way bcause it keeps the volume of extra data down. You mentioned DAO and I must say that I do like the dialog interplay of the follower NPCs in that game where the followers in skyrim really don't have much to say except about ugly mudcrabs?????? Are you familiar with VILJA? by Emma and a lot of her friends (team).. The best thing about her is her dialog. VILJA is fully voiced and has hundreds of lines which she uses to talk to You the PC.. Besides that she talks to several principal NPCs housecarl LYDIA being a well known example. Lydia is a female midtone voice NPC... Many followers possibly your Rory are built to use that dialog. The interesting thing is VILJA chats with all of them I don't know about the Male NPCs because My girls are sort of like amazons so I don't hear Vilja talk to men... they usually just fight them.. Anyway you should add her and see what you think. Oh yes my other followers are probably similar to your Rory (not in looks) I use the Girls of Skyrim by basskimm they're boobs are too big also. but the package worked well and they share the Lydia voice files.. You might also want look at one of the follower managersthere are two I know of 1. Amazing Follower Tweaks by Dheuster.. I use this one the other didn't work on my game 2. Ultimate Follower Overhaul There is also another mod that looks very interesting but its huge and i don't know about that .. the download is 1.5 gigs and it probably unzips to 2-3 times that size it's called "Interesting NPC's" it addss several NPC's who have back stories and quests.. You can see parts of it on YouTube ......
