problem with Ephemera Fresh skin

Recommended Posts

My game has been lagging lately, and I wanted to test it with a lighter default skin. I downloaded the Ephemera Fresh skin. But for some reason, one of the natural tones on the teen girls seems buggy: the face changes, and the body looks like EA skin.

Is this a problem with this skin or my game?

And the same thing with the other skin. I finally solved it by copying the "adult female" dds into the created strings for "teen female." I wonder what the problem could be; I've never had such problems before.

New DEFAULT Skin. I use one that is fairly 'bland' but biologically accurate since this will appear on ALL SIMS unless I change it - so I save the 'epic' skins for special Sims to make them stand out from the crowd.

About the only time I ever see something like this myself is after playing for awhile on big worlds, making changes in CAS and Build/Buy where the game memory becomes critical and if I take a Sim into CAS or sometimes just change their outfit in game - there isn't enough memory to keep the game 'accurate' and a CTD is coming sooner or later depending on what I do if I don't get stuck in a loading screen/menu.

Never having such problems before is a good thing. It means 'something' changed recently : Mods, Memory cap due to 'too much', etc.

Usually If restarting/cleaning the save doesn't help - it's time to run some maintenance on that world - reset ALL, clear out Sim inventories, remove any extra Sims you don't want - basically anything you can do to lower the demands that save puts on the game engine.

While most all skin packs are made to include all life stages - it seems you have one that didn't or else that simple fix (which should already be included) wouldn't have worked.

Well played.

Yes, that's right, that age stage wasn't there. Thanks. I ended up choosing a different, less "heavy" skintone than before, and the game seems to be lagging less, that's the main thing.
