Importante stuff 

 

 

This video has its own Music , by default in the Mod folder inside SKSE folder There is a file that you can turn the sound on and off its Music not the original video sound

 

To do this you go to 

 

Mod folder

Than  to 

 A Visitor from Heaven\SKSE\Plugins

open the  po3_MainMenuVideo

And  turn music on or off in

bPlayAudio = true   ( To have video music)

or

bPlayAudio = false ( to turn the music off )

advanced edition version does not work. maybe its actually still hevc instead of mp4, since when trying to play the video i get asked for the hevc extension

I have it installed and its Mp4 format bud And it works fine .. maybe downloading it again..

 

Anyway I'll check it out .. but it works for me and I have an old PC rig ..

 

Nope its ok , and if you cross the mouse over it you'll see its MP4 file ...

OK uploading the new version with fix , it was the video codec ..

 That is weird I have them installed and every video I do I test them in my game , maybe somehow I have some  Codecs that you guys don't have ..

Basic version is working fine, but the Advanced video seems to be bugged. It continually plays the first second of the tribal drum music on repeat, with no video.

Same here.

 

At first I didn't have the requirement, because it is quite hidden in the description. I actually found the requirement just by myself and then later noticed that it was mentioned somewhere in the desc too.

 

Now the 1st video is working, the advanced one has the same issue as above. The video can be played outside of Skyrim though.

I was trying to make the bigger video work, no luck. I tried:

 

1) Recode the video with different audio/video codecs. Zero effect, the video doesn't start, just drum loop working.

 

2) Cut the video in 2 parts - Partial success, the second video, the last 40 seconds or so was playing. No sign of the 1st part.

 

3) Cut the video in 3 parts. - The 1st part never played

 

4) Cut off the first few seconds of the 1st part - no effect. I tried to recode this with differnt codec as well, same result, ie, 1 second drum.

 

5) Recode to the same size and codec as the working, shorter version (H264, 1280*720). - Zero effect.

 

 

I guess I give up now.  

 

Edit: I managed to make it work. I think my above attempts were killed by some MO2 cache, always showing the wrong video. I noticed it when I swapped the audio channel from the 1st video (the Arabic one) to the long video, and I still heard only the tribal drums.

 

Anyway, I did another recode with H264, AAC (lav) and now it works (only the music is too short now for the 2nd video).

Well guys ... I can't redo the videos now since this takes around 3 hours to make in the video editor...

 

But what I can promise is that as soon I have enough free time I will redo all the videos again ....

 

If I had the problem on my side I could see where the issue comes from , but my guess is that the codec encoding I used doesn't work with you guys ,

so I'll have to rebuild them ASAP in the moment I have time to do it..

to maybe give you more info:

the normal version does work completely fine for me
i redownloaded advanced edition and have the same issue as before. ingame i also get the repeat sound of like first second and no video, as the others here described.

when i open the mp4 through the windows default media player it asks me to pay for hevc extension. and plays just the sound instead, no video. the full sound of the whole video so not just first second.

it also has no preview image in file-explorer. (when selecting to display symbols instead of details or list)
 

and no worries, it's your mod, not mine, and does not break anything, so if you want to fix it do it whenever you feel like it

Yes I am aware of that issue .... Will recode the next version with the proper codec .. it was maybe a mistake of mine when doing final adjustments to finalise the video editing ..

I have to new version from the advanced edition to upload ,

however it is impossible to do it since the uploading system seems to be broken giving me errors uploading files Bad Gateway etc...

Have you seen the instructions tab ... this main menu video as a required Mod from nexus to work !
