As a gay man and huge fan of XCL, I wanted to reimagine the game in a way that leaned more into the sexual orientation corruption that the base game doesn't acknowledge all that much- and by extension adding the homoerotic interactions that would logically appear in Summer City.
 

Version: v0.1.8
Title: First Release

Update Notes:
The core of purpose of Version 0.1.x is to implement the first release content for the Gay Mod. The fundamental goal of this project, to add gay content to X-Change Life, would be way too large an undertaking to release all at once given how the game is not designed with this functionality in mind (...this mod adds and edits photos, videos, text, dailog, character stats, in-game world building, and code logic). I intend to work on things as I have time to, and I am hopeful that interested supporters of the mod can contribute to helping catch bugs or inconsistencies while testing the features or skimming through the code. Given that this mod does alter game logic and subsequently needs to alter some passages at the root, it is recommended not to use this mod when it is out of date otherwise you risk overwriting access to new features/breaking things. (For example, from 1.21 to 1.22, I had to manually add the car contest links in the mall because I overwrite that passage to interact with the loiter button).
 

For first release, I wanted to implement a decent quantity of content that is enough for users to interact with and enjoy, but not limiting the view of what gets added next. So for that 5 characters have been added to the game, with unique photos, videos, and audio. More to come when I find the time to source and splice other material. This release also focuses on replicating the 'Random Encounter' events. As a man, you should now occasionally have thoughts about how your femininity is affecting your outward expression, personality, and experiences. All of these interactions are triggered with growing femininity and/or masculine desire.

(All of these interactions have a femininity threshold. Men won't catcall you at max masculinity):

* Reworked: Random Encounter Transactional Sex
  - Enabled energy and control in random encounter gay sex scenes
  - Added lubrication decrease mechanics (I'm not sure how I feel about this... it sort of implies that you can't have anal sex without it)
  - Added "Permission to Cum" mechanics (There needs to be a way to integrate the refractory period as a punishable attribute).
  - Altered: Several of the Transactional Sex Descriptions and dialog to be male targeted or ambiguous.

 

* Altered: Ashamed moodlet now carries over after pill expires - Masturbate and deal with your shame can be done as a male.

* Added: Masculine Desire Stat.

* Added: "Lesbian Content: Avoidable" gameplay setting.

* Added: Gay Porn at Serendipity Comics.
* Added: Brah Modifier to Masculinity Minigames.
* Added: Gay Curiosity Quests.

* Added: Random Guy NPCs in Loiter Locations. (Currently: Gym, Beach).

* Added: Lube Item.

 

 

Additional Notes + Thoughts:
The Catcall System (Transactional Sex + Blowjobs):
Some things to note with the catcall system is it leads to proposition and eventually the blowjob/sex segments. The blowjob scene has not been touched much as it is mostly gender neutral. Sex scenes however did require a reimagining of the dynamic. What is currently implemented will have you go through the same foreplay process as you would as a woman, but after successful insertion it will start a more active choice selection by which you will try to maximize his pleasure while restraining your own. The general idea behind this is to somewhat remind the player of the anus' lack of natural lubricant and the refractory period! If you cum before him he is likely to try to finish himself off knowing you're spent. In this state, he will fuck you harder and you will lose lubrication faster. If he doesn't  finish before you run out of lubrication you will get the 'Sore' moodlet. Each action you take in the sex minigame will decrease lubrication, it's inevitable! You will need to get him off quick and try to stave off your own orgasm.

Masculine Desire Stat:
Given how unique femininity and how deeply rooted it is to other systems in the game, I wanted to create another stat representative of the character's decent that I have more control over. The Masculine Desire stat should be a stat that naturally increases as you come off of X-Change pills sort of like a residual effect, and stays stagnant when you change (...it temporarily increases by 50 when you're female moreso for visual confirmation that while female your masculine desire is artificially boosted- but does not increase for things you do while female- mostly to save my sanity).

* Future releases should focus on reworking some lines to be more specific to the male experience.
* I would LOVEEE to learn more about AI art + audio for this project. (Speaking of which, there are mods that add more male NPCs, I would like to integrate them in.)
* The gay porn industry is TERRIBLE at diversity so first release is mostly dark haired white guys - RIP. Although this is sorta funny, for the purpose of this project it poses some challenges... I have found 0 asian actors whose content I feel would fit this project...
* I want to further integrate NPC orientation and X-Change kinks into the dialog trees (the act of being predatory toward males to transform them).
* Need to Fix: Will Braun's only Cum Mouth Video looks like a facial... (currently odds reduced on seeing that)
* Need to Fix: Flirting with Coworkers - This is reliant on NPC orientations / Sales Rep so I will just need more time to flesh out how I want that to work in terms of flirting with guys at the office...
* Need to Add: Gay Masturbation Memories - Current memories only exist for sexual exploits with women... Boo!
* Need to Add: Gay Dreams - No dreams as male yet. Not high priority.
* Need to Add: Pornstar Malik Delagty - Currently reserved for Bruce - This kinda just looks like him and the actor has done bisexual scenes... I'm not putting this on the priority list because of how much visual content would need replaced for Bruce, I would need to get better with AI image editing.
* Need to Add: Pornstar Beaux Banks - Currently reserved for Scarlit - Very light skinned, not sure if he fully fits. But colored actors are slim in the industry, and this guy is an incredible power bottom.
* Need to Add: Comparisons between base male body and new DNA male body - More description of physical characteristics that change between the two actors when you've changed DNA (Examine self at night).
* Need to Add: Broader comments for NPCs relating to the male body (breasts -> body). A lot of breasts and tits text was converted for pecs for simplicity... but now it is oversaturated. I want to balance that with removing some less fitting lines and adding other male body attributes to faun over (hair, biceps, abs, hands, etc.).

This first release is very early release, and I really just wanted to post it to alleviate the anticipatory stress of not knowing how to upload on LoversLab. As well as receive some feedback on what does and doesn't work or what people are interested in seeing so I can get an idea for the direction I want to head this project in.

I do expect to update this mod with relatively frequently for smaller updates in text and fix breaks on new releases, and since is my first mod you will have to forgive me as I am still trying to figure out the best way to organize and manage a project of this size.

A 22.0 version is still available on tfgamessite, but yeah, I've only once gotten a gay even to fire at random, and it was at work. Otherwise, it won't fire on the latest version, I think.

I downloaded the 22.2 version specifically for this mod, but I can't seem to get it to work. The gay pornstars' pics won't even pop up during character select, it's only the base game one. I made sure to add the mod and the patch and the character files using the mod loader, and load them, but it doesn't seem to work. Can anyone help me out?

No 0.22.2 Version is what is supports at the moment. Since the game edits a lot of the core game mechanics it's not easy to upgrade the mod version to version. For the initial testing release here, the main focus was just for initial testing/bug-fixing purposes.

Also gay encounters are tied to the catcalling interaction. Men won't catcall you until your masculinity <80 (that likelihood increasing as your masculinity decreases). High masculine desire is more tied to the arousal you gain over the course of the interaction. Hope that helps.

I hadn't even considered people may not have 0.22.0... my bad! I'll just attach my copy.

Couple things could be happening here. The mod is intended for 0.22.0, I'm not sure how the mod interacts on the wrong version. Next I would verify that you have "Gay Content: Enabled" in the game settings at the start (or toggle it in the game settings menu), as this will also toggle the character portraits from base-game to their gay counterparts.

I hadn't. I just took a quick look now though, and his skin tone is closer to what I would want- but he has half as many scenes he's starred in. He also has a slightly older look than the rest of the cast. I like the recommendation though!

Was running the normal game like a dunce instead of the modded one inside the clearly labelled modded folder. Thanks for the response anyways though XD.

yeah unfortunately there's not a lot of options out there. most of micah's scenes are older. there's a good amount from when he was younger. the only other two options  was able to find with a quick search are Phoenix fellington, who is more verse, and kai thomas.

Phoenix Fellington is such a valid pick. I just don't see enough features between him and 'Scarlit Scandal'. She has such a specific skin tone that I don't think him or Beaux really match... I'll have to keep this one in mind while I'm sourcing for her.

I know Bruce is far in the future, but I do wonder, how far do you plan to work on him? Like, would it just be bar scenes or perhaps a bigger expansion? I only ask because I assume we won't get any bar guys, and he's about the only one I could see potentially working.  

Also also, perhaps I just can't remember, but I know X-Change allows for the player to do female to female so, if it's possible, would there be any plans to do a male-to-male X-Change demos? Or am I just asking too far out/off-field? I know the current plan is/seems to be focusing on getting the hook-ups working at the moment, so not an immediate thing even if it was in the plans. 

Also, is it meant to be possible to get guys hitting on you in the club? Because from the text I assume not, along with the fact dancing is also assuming you're a woman.

Hate posting back-to-back but tried downloading the newest updates as necessary and am having a problem. It can't read the actual base of the mod, the patch and Lana do work, but not the base.

Nothing specific planned for Bruce, I do know his actor (Malik Delgaty) so it's likely I am going to work backwards from there- planning scenes around is available in his repertoire. The logic behind the mod is men being altered by the hidden side-effects of X-Change so most of his events should be somewhat linked to him being transformed/dominated in some capacity before hand and forced to be Bree a few times. I'm going to rely on Aphrodite to balance the accessibility of that route, and focus on the after.

I have current plans for some of the demos to be worked as a man and am still trying to work out the in-universe reason for why that would work. Things like:
GoodGirl Petite -> Austin Young.
Secretary -> A popular actor for 'MenAtPlay' Studios.
But overall yeah, I haven't fleshed those ideas out much. There's still a lot to implement and finalize before I mess with demos - I think my current next step after getting generic interactions going is workplace interactions which would put me in a better position to begin generating those.

No, I haven't touched club or bar interactions at all- just because they take another subset of starting sequences and I wanted to rewrite how they approach in those settings. If you're able to access them... that is not intended behavior and engaging will likely just lead you through a standard female interaction.

Totally understand the Bruce thing, I just am a creative person myself (no good with code though), so I just found my mind going in 50 directions with this mod's potential. I was just thinking of like, for example, after giving Bruce a non-basic pill (or at least certain variants, haven't actually done so since he began to punish the player), perhaps there might be stat checks that get ran if he knows the Player if he's already somewhat bi'd himself. So like, high dominance and still rather straight (like first or second pill) on you gets the regular outcome, but perhaps high attraction+ been bi'd means he instead perhaps has another reaction. I'm not 100% sure as I don't follow Porn actors so I don't know what scenes he'd have to work with, but I just like the idea of if you've managed to fuck your way into his heart, he still wants revenge somehow, but doesn't want to risk you because you're about the only one who knows that he's no longer as straight as he has been(and thus the only one he can do anything with to experiment). Since if I remember correctly, he forces you onto/into SWP only as of right now as punishment until you make it up to him. 

IDK, perhaps I'm being too optimistic on how he could change, I just think it'd be interesting to see an alternate reaction to that for example.

At which point perhaps he forces you to give him your phone number so he can have a hook-up at any night and can't decline, perhaps he forces every now and then a date at the club, etc.  perhaps that is the end, or if wanting to go a 'win a man through his cock' perhaps this be an entryway into possible BF territory (IDK if the game actually can do proper dating, but we have multiple bar Girls and attraction exists so... perhaps?) that would be basically peeling off layer after layer of bravado. IDK, I just have a thing for hero x villain and Bruce slots nicely into the villain role.

Sounds like someone has the hots for Brucey~ but really, I love how detailed this vision is. Since this is all pretty much just passion work, doing things is a matter of interest... and this scene is interesting.

From what I know of Bruce, this would likely work very well- though I will still want to keep my eye out for how much this interacts with the "dominating the family" side of his content, his approach almost makes it feel like it would flip on its head. Him interacting with the player in this indirect, semi-bashful manor gives you some control... this scene feels like it would begin and end with Bruce giving the player a blowjob and creating quiet tension until the next time they address it. The step-sister ever finding out would probably implicate your family in further with the Maddox family and their harassment considering the importance of their social reputation.

First off, Not gonna deny it. Like I said, I enjoy a protagonist x antagonist pair-up and Bruce is basically in the ideal position to do so with the MC. 

 

Secondly, I absolutely understand the need to balance this with Bruce's interaction with the rest of your family. I think it should absolutely be possible to perhaps weaken his grasp if, perhaps, at expense of yourself in this idea. Not in the 'lose your stats' expense to be clear, but a 'you kind of have to be willing to do what he says/wants', at least at first. Perhaps over time going from fuckbuddies to perhaps boyfriends if you play your cards right. I just like the idea of Bruce sort of going from 'distant fuckboy whose heart is closed' before the pink pills to 'oh fuck, oh shit, I actually feel something for someone, and it's for a guy'. Perhaps a 'X fell first but Y fell harder' type thing, in that perhaps because you were on the Pink pill longer than him you catch feelings first, but when he does/realizes it might be starting at that scene. Or as someone described "one walked down the stairway gracefully, the other fell through the elevator shaft and faceplanted". 
 

Dating is apparently going to be added albeit simple, which for this game is... well I will admit I wouldn't exactly call much of this game simple so IDK how accurate that'll end up being. I just doubt besides the friend who isn't in the game yet we're going to get any special male characters.

Bruce's actor has bottoming scenes? Or would it just be generic blowjob images? If he does, I kinda want to see a potential power-bottom Bruce now. 

Secondly, seeing as our player character is apparently an ideal bottom who can cum (At the moment) from just getting his ass eaten out, perhaps at some point add in a dildo and have the player character ride it once his masculinity gets too low as an option? Perhaps buying it from the same place he will get condoms and lube? 

Thirdly, I know this is your project, but if you ever want/need help writing, I am free to help. I enjoy writing and only work part-time atm so have free time to spare. Just don't expect me to add it to the game's files, just cheating by using Visual Code to see what does and doesn't work for the pills hurts my head at times (yes I do that, the sales have become a lot harder recently and I'll take every advantage I can get).

 

Second edit: Now my mind has come up with various ways he could act depending on the pill given. Like resist he might deliberately edge/ engage in orgasm denial as he takes you to his home and you have to keep from cumming in order to not upset him. Cum cure he might have developed a taste/addiction for cum and now he makes you act as his personal source (perhaps even demanding you to make diet changes to make it taste better), bimbo he might force you to pay for the clothes he bought and can't return, show off if he has any more exhibitionistic gay scenes, perhaps something more public, etc. 

Again, I don't follow porn actors or actresses so I don't know what content each of them might or might not be able to have for the game. I just am a faucet of ideas.

I recommend IAFD for a glace at what content actors have position wise. He would be pretty exclusively top.

This would be pretty extensive as it would also mean writing these effects for the PC as well for every interaction.

I would likely need you to sort of feed me into the development loop. I'll be fully honest, I live in a state where there are ID laws for porn sites so majority aren't accessible to me either because they refuse to provide service or I simply refuse to give the ID. I would gladly work on Gym scenes, but what does that mean? Is it like the randos asking to join in, or like the outfit-based ones?

Lol, yeah I didn't actually expect it to be added in, just more an example of how my mind works. It can take something bare-bones and go into detail. Sometimes more detail than can be supported.
