ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'custom_schedules'

Hello, 

 

I just got back into modding TS4 and upon installing Wicked Whims, I am bombarded with this notification and it's literally unstoppable. I have since disabled WW, it clogs my notif wall and I literally can't stop clicking X on them once it starts. 

 

I will include an excerpt of my Sims 4 mod and script list via game options menu as it has mods that aren't even installed anymore (I deleted localthumbcache.package, I do not have a 'cache' folder). I do not have TS4 Extreme violence installed. It is not in my mods folder.

 

I will also include all relevant notifications on my notif wall if they are of any help.  Any help would be appreciated! I'm losing my mind 💀♥

 

To add, I do have CC, but they were installed *after* this problem started. Removing/disabling them has not changed this issue.

The easiest thing to do is to back out all of the mods folders and test, then select the mods you need, reinstall them and test to see if the same problem occurs, and try a 50/50 chance.

I wonder if it's because it uses XmlInjectord and it recognizes multiple versions of TS4 Extreme violence. I've never used Extreme violence, so I don't know if it functions the same way as WW. But without seeing your mods folder, it's a little hard to believe you don't have it.

Update your game first as WW 185d was made for the latest version of the game.

 

Then make sure all your other script mods are also updated too.

(Some of your other script mods are new versions so they may not work on older game versions)

I used to have it, but on an entirely different version of the game. Back in like 2023 I downloaded it and then never played the game again. This issue only happens when I have WW installed. Someone said it’s a version mismatch which makes sense. I have a FitGirl repack version of TS4 so I’m going to see if I can get a DLC unlocker for my legit copy and see if that fixes the issue.

This makes sense, I didn’t realize that even if the mod was up to date, your game also had to be like… super recent. This is a FitGirl repack version and I think it was published in July or so? I’m going to try to find a way to get a legit copy with all DLC. Thank you

To add an update, my problem was solved upon updating my game. Can't believe it was that easy.. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hello @jjbb52I have the same issue as you, and I realised I need to update the FitGirl repack, but I cannot figure out the elAmigo downloads for the patches. The links just constantly spam ads and crazy suspicious downloads that are nothing like the updates promised. If I turn adblocker on to stop that, nothing opens at all when I click on any of the links and the blue box just changes to a tick but nothing actually happens.

 

What am I missing here? any tips would be much appreciated.

If it is the official Fitgirl Repack site it should be the correct one, I have Ublock on so perhaps you can use that to minimize the ads?
Keep in mind you have to download EVERY single one (1 - 5) inorder to update properly and of course install them in order 

I did this and it did work and updated to the latest version but for some reason the bug still remains, perhaps I did it wrong?

Scratch that last part, seems like the base game I had was missing files and after a reinstall of the whole game and updates, that fixed it.

Since I have the time I'll give a quick tutorial on how the elAmigo Updates work

1. Go to the Official Fitgirl Repack site for the Sims 4 and scroll down to 'Game Updates – Direct Links only'
2. Download all numbered ones 1 through 5, Each link should take you to a Filecrypt site with 2 options, choose either one and download.
3. Once downloaded unzip them all (each .rar file should have 1 .exe file in them) and run them one by one in order as doing it out of order can lead to missing files. So 'v1.116.223_to_v1.116.240-ElAmigos.rar' First.
4. Once you run the app it, go click next until the part where it asks for where to install it, it defaults to C:\Games\The Sims 4 but you have to change that to wherever you installed the game so let's say you installed it in D:\The Sims 4 then you want to make the filepath that.
5. Optionally after that you can change your username, and then hit Install.
6. Let the exe do it's thing, it will look like it gets stuck near the end 'Finishing Installation...' but that's normal as there is just a lot of files that it needs to go through.
7. You can untick the two boxes once it's done and hit 'Finish' but I recommend turning on the 'Verify all game files' option just to make sure nothing is wrong. This will take a while but if everything is correct it only should spit out one File Corrupt (Soundtrack\zblob.bin) but that's by design as that's an unused file. 
8. Once you finish one setup move onto the next one in line until you're at the latest version

Literally followed all the steps for the fitgirl update, even tho I downloaded directly off the site a few days ago, downloaded it on numerological order from 1-5 yet  when I ended up verifying the files after the last one it showed me 600+ of my files were missing or got damaged in the process. Had to delete and redownload the entire game for a third time, losing my mind lol. It also popped up a message saying "Games\The Sims 4 already exists'' and if im sure or something. I chose this folder as the download destination, the launcher and actual app are in a program files folder tho, not sure if I shouldve done that instead? Can someone help pls I can't get rid of the costum schedule ModuleNotFoundError

UPDATE: I fixed it. I feel like an absolute legend, a genius if you may. The fix was very simple, DO NOT try updating with ElAmigos, it seems to have a very high chance of messing up your files. Simply download an older version of whickedwhims, i downloaded the july version. Don't even bother trying to update the game like I did, and losing all your households & being unable to open the program because a quarter of all files got corrupted in the process. I deleted and reinstalled the fitgirl pack like 4 TIMES. This is the only thing that fixed it.

Also dont forget to delete any newer versions you have of whickedwhims when downloading the outdated one! Make sure you only upload the whickedwhims folder with the

package file & script file directly into documents/electronic arts/the sims 4/ mods
