I just discovered this mod, and I’m really interested in it. Wishing the mod creator the best of luck with the development! 💗

Thank you very much for all this particularly useful information @Timerz .

I had come to a similar conclusion myself, as I noticed that the more animation files were loaded, the more the game would lag until it eventually crashed.

 

I understand the frustration of ZomboLust users.
You want fast, impactful animations.
You want action — fast-paced, sexually intense (at least with the zombies) — and you feel that, overall, the current animations are not good enough.

 

This might surprise you, but I wasn’t satisfied with what I had done either.

 

The problem, you see, is that I spend more time coding than creating animations.
As a result, the animations were mostly quick, soulless copy-paste work.

 

Let me reassure you: I have no intention of leaving the mod in its current state, and I’m not going to abandon it.
I’m not stubborn either (as I already mentioned in the other thread — the one with the direct download link), and I adapt instead of stubbornly sticking to a direction when I know it leads to a dead end.

 

I am currently completely reworking the animations from scratch.
All animations will be reduced to 1% of their original duration.

 

The animations will be:

  • Begin = 180 frames (and that’s already a lot, I know, but I can’t go lower because of the mini-game; there aren’t many of them)

  • Stage 2 (main loop) = 60 frames (these are by far the most numerous)

  • Ending stages:

    • Internal Vag + two new categories = 240 frames (few in number)

    • External + Shy = 30 frames (few in number)

 

A quick calculation should bring us to around 400 megabytes in memory.
(Reminder: going from 300,000 megabytes to 400 megabytes = about a 99.8% reduction.)

Your game lag issue is caused by my damn animations, not the mini-game.

 

That said, I’ve noted your request to make the mini-game optional.
It’s a reasonable request.

 

I’m not saying no, but I can’t guarantee anything since it requires coding work (the mini-game is currently hardcoded into the framework).

Hello sir, I found a bug where when I tried to do an animation with a zombie the player and the zombie immediately froze, when I looked for the cause it turned out to come from the zombolust beta 0.2.1 mod ,Then when you remove the mod it becomes normal again

Seeing the sex addiction trait on the other side suddenly made me think that the author hoped failure would actually have side effects. So, it could be designed so that a sex addiction trait is gained based on the number of failures, with a maximum of 10 levels. Each level would shrink the green grid, and once level 10 is reached, the mini-game would automatically fail. Furthermore, once this trait is acquired, stress would begin to develop if sex wasn't performed for a day. Then, a pregnancy system could be linked. After all, pregnancy itself is a fairly serious negative state. If, further, a corresponding seedling level could be gained based on the number of pregnancies, with each level increasing the chance of pregnancy and shortening the pregnancy time, and exceeding level 5 resulting in permanent lactation leading to frequent hunger and breast engorgement, and then a semen addiction trait based on the number of times semen was ingested, with increased stress if semen wasn't ingested regularly, the gameplay would feel much more engaging.

I have a set of animations and sound (for reactive lewd version) that i saved from forked version of zombowin mod a chinese modder uploaded (it got nuked from workshop already) . Should i share it to you for reference? (idk who the author of those animation is to even ask if there a permission lol). They are quite well made.

Also just a small suggestion, though i'm not sure if it already been talked about. Do you think it possible to give player "ghost mode" during "action" and remove it after done, to prevent other zombies to just keep going after you and getting cartoonishly pushed back like in zombowin ? Since i believe it just make the whole thing look funny than horny.

The Lust 0.2.1 version is not working properly.
However, if this bug happens again in the next version, I would like to have more details.
If the bug is reproducible, the Main file should be edited to obtain logs.

It's complicated.
As soon as I fix the OOM crash issues caused by animations, I will take care of the traits.
I’ve noted your suggestion and will see what I can do.

I’d need to add an option for that, along with quite a bit of code.
If you zoom in all the way using Project Zomboid’s default zoom settings (no mod needed, you don’t even have to go into the game’s options), nearby zombies barely enter your field of view during the act.
So you won’t even see them if it bothers you that much.

 

That said, I’ll keep the idea in mind, since this option also has the advantage of muting nearby zombies (they stop groaning), and you can hear your character moaning.
I’ll see what I can do.

Hello I'm just running the Desire mod to loot items and such while I wait for the Lust mod OOM to be fixed.

 

I'm experiencing a bug with Desire that unless I get the pink zone in the minigame (which is not always available) my controls remain broken after the animation. If I land the pink zone I get a progress bar above my head and my controls work when it finishes. if I get any other color on the mini game, the same chat animations play, but there is no progress bar and when the animations end, I can move but cannot shove or aim my weapon. Reloading the save returns my controls.

 

I tested this with only the Desire Mod active.

 

Also assuming this is how the mod works even when Lust is active, is there/will there be a cooldown on triggering the mod? I've had the mod trigger, landed the pink zone, went through the animation, got my controls back, and then tried to kill the zombie for it to trigger the mini game again on the same zombie. This, and my controls getting stuck has been a bit frustrating. 

 

Otherwise, I like your concept and what you are doing. I hope it works out!

Thanks for the good work. i had great fun with it when it was working. there was a problem with the positioning of the player and zombie not aligning during the animations but ive seen that mentioned before. 

 

i do have a humble request though. the fantasy i am imagining in this mod(as female player) is of a reluctant victim with a subconscious/suppressed humiliation-desire. the sounds from the player during anal animations are more like a torture victim though, and thats a bit of a turnoff for me. would it be possible to get an option to toggle the anal animations off? or lower their frequency? fear of a brutal ravishing can be titillating i suppose, but the sounds themselves are too Real for me. I do approve of the sounds being this realistic, but as it stands anal scenes are more likely than regular ones. 

ps. most if not all anal scenes could technically just be reclassified as pussy intercourse.

First of all, if you click (or if you do not click at all) on an area of any color other than pink, then no animation plays.

What do you mean by “the same chat animations play” ?
If it is any color other than pink, then there are NO animations (other than the first stage).

So you mean the first stage, right ?

However, in that case the code is supposed to clean up and exit properly to fully restore the player’s controls, including shove and aim.
If you are performing a specific action and this issue can be reproduced, then go to the file ZomboDesire_Main.lua and change the master switch from false to true.
Then reproduce the bug.
Finally, copy the contents of your console.txt file or post it in your next message on the forum.

Sorry, I don’t understand.
If you kill the zombie, then the mini-game does not trigger again.
You need an active zombie (not a crawler) for the animation to start.

This issue has been fixed, or at least I cannot improve it any further.
There may still very rarely be a small offset, but I cannot make it any better than it is now.

I agree that my first version of Lust (the one with the OOM issue) was not balanced at all.
I want to achieve a strict 33 percent chance for each type of penetration.
There will therefore be no option to remove anal scenes; this is not planned.
In the next version of Lust, the mod should start to feel more playable, and we will see what can be improved in the mod’s gameplay.

If the sounds are unbearable for you, you can always press Escape to stop the animation.

You delete the sound files that don’t suit you.

I had a bit of time to quickly investigate this issue, and it turns out you are right.

 

Build B42.19 introduced a change in string concatenation, which causes the logging script to crash.

This log then causes the TimedAction to bug out if the mini-game fails.

 

I have fixed this issue internally.
I am currently making major changes to the Lust animations as well as the Framework.

 

I will therefore temporarily remove the Framework download link, as the current version is not compatible with B42.19 and I have not yet finished modifying the Framework animations.

 

Both mods (Desire and Lust) will be back online once I have completed the animation updates.

 

Thanks again for pointing out this subtle issue introduced by B42.19 🙏
