New Gnisis Corner Club Inn

A little overhaul for the Dunmer tavern in Windhelm with beds to rent.

 

This was one of my first mods and I had it sitting around for a while and finally thought, what the hell, let’s clean it up and put it out there.

 

Now you don’t have to pay the outrageous prices at Candlehearth or put up with Elda’s attitude. Instead, enjoy the hospitality of the New Gnisis Corner Club.

 

• The first floor layout is mostly the same, just with a bit more clutter (keeps it compatible with LotD).
• A new basement has been added, with beds for rent and a small kitchen.
• The second floor is now a proper, more spacious tavern.
• The top floor has been turned into a home for Ambarys and Malthyr, with separate rooms for each.
• All radiant quest activators are in place, and it plays nicely with mods that add extra NPCs (like Inconsequential NPCs and ToH).
• Works with The Ancient Profession prostitution system? Yes it does!

 

Nothing too fancy like JK's, just a small, cozy tweak to make Windhelm’s Gray Quarter feel more alive.

 

Compatibility

 

Probably not compatible with other Corner Club mods, like the few that also add a bed(bedroll) or JK's version.

Compatible with Windhelm overhauls, I only touched the Corner Club interior cell, no changes outside.

Edits to Malthyr and Ambarys, obviously to add the scripts and change Malthyr sleeping package.

Sexlab Stories SE compatible version + SL Skooma Whore compatible version.

for LE change the header version to 1.700000 in xEdit

  New save recommended. If you install on a running playthrough and have already visited the Corner Club, Malthyr’s bed may be misplaced and objects may look off until the cell resets (or until you clean your save).

   

  For existing saves, you’ll need to manually add Ambarys to two factions with the console, since the game doesn’t update factions automatically (and I was too lazy to make a single-use quest 😅). Just click on Ambarys and type:

   

  Job Inkeeper Faction

  addtofaction 0005091B 0

   

  Job Rent Room Faction

  addtofaction 0009CC97 0

   

  For LE version

   

  Install the non-ESL version and then the LE meshes, merge or overwrite the main file.

  Or just download the main version and use Cathedral Assets Optimizer.

   

  Sexlab Stories editions require Skyrim SE and Devious Devices, unless you use xEdit and remove the SE extra dependencies and cross fingers.

Please check it against Bane Master's 1.05 patch as well. I don't think he added anything to the locations, but I never used SLSW without one of his patches.

Since I'm already running a game I can't verify compatibility until the next character. So for a while.

SLSW Addicted doesn't edit cells, only has 2 Npc reference edits and none of them in the Corner Club, should be safe to use.

Your sexlab stories edition and the (sexlab stories + skooma) edition both require Devious Devices SE - patch.esp.
Devious Devices - NG requires disabling Devious Devices SE - patch.esp.
Sexlab Stories also doesn't require Devious Devices SE - patch.esp.
Could you remove the dependency on Devious Devices SE - patch.esp?
