Fairwyn Posted October 10 Posted October 10 So, I'm having people report performance issues with Curse of Life when using this mod and in particular when the egg morphs update. The common denominator seems to be Mu Dynamic Normal Map. Obviously, the mod makes this one look amazing and it's the easiest way to get it installed, so I'm trying to offer a solution on enhancing the performance. Does anyone have some configuration advice for Mu to smooth out the fps hits? I'll be messing with the config file for it myself, but I thought I'd at least reach out and see if anyone else had to mess with the MuDynamicNormalMap.ini file. 1

I know my gpu is weak so I set my Mu Dynamic Normal Map to wait a while before updating to make it easier on the gpu but that leaves a noticeable delay over what should have been real time.

Do you know the exact tweaks to the file? I'd love to just add a "try this" to my FAQ for people who are seeing the performance dips with some suggested min/max values but I don't know where to even start for which ones are effective. I'm also adding a toggle to turn the movement portion off, but.... well that's no fun, lol. I'd rather be able to point to at least a happy medium solution.
MysticDaedra Posted October 11 Posted October 11 When installing, Ovibody seems to be overwriting a bunch of 3BA bodyslide files. Is this correct? I'm hoping to use this with Curse of Life where this is an addition to, rather than a full replacer of the regular 3BA meshes...

This is how the mod was made, it doesn't change too much and yes I agree that there should be a version where it's separate. MuDynamicNormalMap.7z

MuDynamicNormalMap.7z 3.92 kB · 0 downloads Just to clarify, I need to re-build the "regular" bodyslide then? Is it just the normal maps that actually show the oviposition, or is it a slider/morph addition? Agh, I used to be on the discord and could have asked then, but ran out of servers so I had to drop it lol.

Yes - rebuild, the mod replaces the default body in bodyslide but not necessarily in the meshes (where it goes when built). Yes - there are additional sliders. No - that server is no longer in service and any support will be handled here in LL.
MysticDaedra Posted Wednesday at 09:48 AM Posted Wednesday at 09:48 AM I'm getting a big neck seam for some reason. Not sure how to fix.
hurrdurrhurr Posted Wednesday at 10:56 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:56 PM The changelog says support for Softbody was added but the sliders don't appear with GT_Softbody (BHUNP), is it just 3BA?

New version changes all but the slider categories to their own files now. So this problem can be avoided 2

It still has to replace the same femalebody output. So you shouldn't have to rebuild unless you stored the output file in the ovibody mod before updating. 1
MysticDaedra Posted yesterday at 09:42 AM Posted yesterday at 09:42 AM Great, yeah I use a separate Bodyslide Output folder so it shouldn't be lost when updating. Any idea if this mod is causing a neck seam? I'm using HPH (not sure if relevant), and I've noticed a very visible neck seam that was not there before I installed and built this mesh.

It shouldn't be causing any seams. I didn't touch anything other than the belly of the body and the body is literally just 3BA with custom belly edits. 2
domy Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago When using this with COL are the eggs supposed to be always visible or only when you get cursed?
